omg just saw the end of ep 23, what are we doing, the writers are just making this a cliche now, not caring about the characters. Few eps ago she says to the cop, no matter what I'll stay by ml's side, no matter bad or good, next minute she moves out to a hotel, like what are we doing here, so out of character. And the 2ml, I've had enough, she has to draw a line with him and he has to go.

It was very annoying to watch

I won't lie, this isn't supposed to be hate, it's my honest opinion. For me, its kind of gotten a bit stale the last few eps, I think personally for me its the 2ml and that in the last few eps, ml and fl just seem to be repeating the same pattern. They get closer, seem to make progress, then ml or fl pulls away a little bit due to some work problem and repeat. I also dislike how fl uses 2ml to make ml jealous, especially in today's ep 22. She ignores ml for a majority of the ep, using 2ml to make ml jealous. Idk if she does it on purpose or not, but for me it's getting a bit old. Especially when all her work mates are hyping up fl and 2ml together, while ml sits there. Like at first the jealousy was cute and all, now feels a bit repetitive and uncomfortable, I feel like she needs to set some boundaries with 2ml and let her colleagues know she's not interested in him like that, I feel bad for ml having to sit there. Like all her colleagues hyping up fl and 2ml getting back together and fl says nothing to dispute. Normally, she's very good at speaking up for herself and shutting things down, so I didn't like that she said nothing, and just the continuous use of 2ml getting close to fl to make ml jealous, and fl saying nothing is kind of annoying for me now.

If its on purpose, I don't like how they made her character like that, now that she knows ml has suffered mentally and sees a therapist, like no more mind games with the poor guy. If it's not on purpose then I just don't like the writing of continually using 2ml to make ml jealous for a few eps now.

Not saying I dislike the show, I still enjoy watching it, but I feel like it's lost a bit of steam. On the other hand, I really did enjoy ml and fl's walk on the beach and discussion, that felt like progress to me, so I hope some work stuff does not set them back again, that discussion and the whole scene was very very good. I want more of that, meaningful conversation that leads to progress and less of 2ml.

You mentioned we must take into account context, yes in china you can refer to someone else as brother or sister out of respect, but in this context let's not pretend that the case. It's clear how ml introduces fl as his sister, how fl's classmates say and think ml is her biological brother. Let's not pretend that they don't refer to each other as brother and sister in the family sense, ml calling himself her guardian. It's not respect for hierarchy or a term used in everyday life here, in this context they refer to each other as brother and sister in the context of family.

We know they are not related and not step siblings as their parents never got married, so for me I have no issues, but for some it is and we should respect that instead of trying to explain it away. Lets not pretend they aren't referring to each other as brother and sister in the family sense, that is clearly what they mean here, its not done out of respect or for someone older or younger or for hierarchy or something casual like bro. They mean brother and sister in the context of family when saying it here that is clear and we shouldn't pretend otherwise. Now we know they aren't actually brother and sister or even step siblings, and for me I have no issues, but to pretending thats not what they mean is just trying to fool ourselves. If some people have an issue thats ok, we can't force everyone to think alike.

I agree with this for sure, my comment was like this cause normally its always when a drama has a low score people complain and it annoys me thats all, but I for sure agree shouldn't be allowed to rate a drama so early whether you're giving it a good or bad score

This is my point, in your opinion it deserves to be higher, but not everyone has to agree. Do I think it deserves to be higher, yes I do, but I also understand how not everyone agrees, I'm sure there are also people who dislike the drama. My point it, just because you or I think it deserves to be higher, does not mean everyone agrees, some people may think it deserves to be lower.

It's banned from the start, they would be using vpn. At least thats what another Chinese person that moved to the u.s said on this site in the comments before.

Its not like mdl specifically, but just how china bans like a majority of western sites, you know like google, YouTube, Facebook, reddit all that stuff is banned, so this just falls in with all the other stuff. I don't think it's like a specific ban but china just has a general ban on a majority of western sites so this is included.

I just wanna say this, this isn't meant to be hate btw, I like the drama so far, but everyone keeps saying rating rating, I just want to say just because you enjoy the drama, doesn't mean everyone agrees, just like if you dislike a drama that is high rated. Lets just forget about rating, honestly has no effect on the drama at all, especially cause mdl is banned in china anyway so they don't care and doesn't effect the actors or production team in anyway really.

But I just want to say, just because you feel the drama should be rated higher, doesn't mean everyone agrees. Yes there are likely same haters just like there are with every drama who downvote on purpose, but I'm sure there are also some people who are genuinely just not liking it so far. I feel like when a drama is rated kind of low to start, everyone just thinks because I like a drama it must be rated higher, not everyone agrees.

I'm sure this drama rating will also improve a lot over time, lets give it some time its also only day 1, and yeh I'm sure theres haters but also when a drama starts a lot of people may give it a try, not like it, drop a rating and leave, so I'm sure it will rise over time.

Also if you dislike people who give it a low score so early, you must also hold the same standards on the people who have rated the first 10 eps already a higher ratings when they haven't aired, along with the 10/10 review, same standards for both people that give high and low ratings so early into a drama. I think giving a score for eps that haven't even aired good or bad should not be allowed on mdl at all.

Anyway, no hate, just felt a bit annoyed with so many comments asking about the ratings, yes haters exist and thats sad, but also just because you love this drama so far, doesn't mean everyone has to agree. Hope this doesn't come off as rude or anything, just felt the need to say it.

I understand but then you must also understand your original comment was quite passive aggressive between the lines. Like if you disagree you can offer your opinion on the drama or why you disagree, but you simply insulted the person. I for sure see how that reply to you was passive aggressive, but your original comment was also passive aggressive and offered no substantial discussion, just inferring that the person liked stupid things.

I just think both you and the person who replied to you were in the wrong, no need for personal attacks I feel all comments should be directed towards the drama not the user themselves if that makes sense. Thats all I'll say don't want to cause trouble or anything.

Not trying to mean or start something but what you did was not opinion differing you offered no opinion on the drama you just insulted the person who wrote the comment pretty much saying they like/enjoy stupid things. You shared no opinion.

I don't think this is it, in the banquets scene fl asked why is he staring and he too him because the princess he saw was not the same as the one he saw before. I think ml is actually indulging her to see what she's up to, Simi.ar to the novel, she tries playing innocent and thinks she's out smarting ml but the whole time ml is just toying with her and outsmarting him, I think same happening here. He wants to see what she's up to.

I agree, didn't even think of that so many of these banquets indoors, seeing a nice setting outside was nice

Much rather money goes into better writing, editing, ost and cinematography so I'm happy, plus a lot of people really like the sets so matter of opinion really the sets

Why you swearing at me? I said it was ok if it's not your thing, wow..... storytelling with rapid changes of pace, peaks and dips, to you may be for unknown reasons but to others its very enjoyable and purposeful as seen by many positive comments. I don't know why you feel the need to be rude
