OMG I had such intense SLS during this entire series, Gong Myung is such a cutie pie. It also does not help that the male lead is such a douche ! But I recommend it cos the story is good and there are multiple characters to root for so you are not always stuck with Professor Quality (smh).
So i am a little confused, and I hope someone can explain to this uneducated American resident. Pop culture has taught me that Thailand is the gay capital of Asia, with the BL dramas, pageants etc. But in this drama Win being gay seems to be the worst thing ever. Why is this ?
I really love this show but it's gotten to the point where Im skipping some of the scenes with Senior Jing…
I thought it was just me. There is a way to make sadness beautiful but Senior Jing does not pull it off. He comes off as whiny, and slightly stupid. I don't know if it is bad writing or bad acting but he is just ugh.
This drama took me a good 6 or 7 episodes to really get into but I'm liking it now. The one thing that bugs…
I think it is cos he does not want to be pitied and he wants her to like him out of her own free will not cos she feels sorry for him. He is a very prideful king, lol.
Grade A writing and Grade A acting. I like the way the story was focused on the couple no side stories to distract you. And there was always progression in the story. This is a must watch.
There are definitely some dramas that embrace sisterhood but you are right. Overall most kdramas seem to love to promote bromances over sisterlove. And there always seems to be catty female relationships. I am mad i never noticed this before.
Here's the good news all the main leads had amazing chemistry, the actors put all their emotions out there and it was palpable. The bad news is that the only person i could root for was maybe Tong Tong (the kid). Li Zhoung Mou was such an asshole but Wu Tong was even worse cos she just forgave him for all the shitty stuff he did.
Basically If watching a woman get emotionally and physically (unintentional but still) abused is your thing, then this is the show for you. If not I suggest you give this a hard pass.
I don't think this is exactly beginners list. It seems to skew more towards comedy. Where is the chaebol melodrama ? Where is the contract marriage ? Where is the coming of age story ? Where is the problematic classic drama that makes feminists cringe ?
