I actually thought it was progressive for a drama like this cos 5 years ago she would have told the world he is…
Oh no you are not overreacting. he could have easily been cheating on her with a woman. They seemed to want to to emphasize his gayness. I totally get what you are saying but Korea has such a weird brand of conservatism. They want their kpop stars to borrow from gay culture but don't want them gay, idk. I am just here for the lols and romance
I don’t know how I feel about the portrayal of her gay boyfriend, I realise this is Korean and that it was made…
I actually thought it was progressive for a drama like this cos 5 years ago she would have told the world he is gay. Especially since she is a reporter
I wonder if the rest of the cast chose to wear black and did not tell Ryu Hwayoung or they were all supposed to wear black and she said nah i look good in pink
Some folks keep saying the plot is repetitive but it is a show about solving a different insurance scam each ep??? What did you expect? Would you watch a detective show and say it is repetitive because they are solving a case every episode? And side note the writing was amazing, I have never seen another kdrama investigative show written so smartly. Every character mattered, every letter mattered and the story line was always moving. I just think anyone who says it deserves less than 8.5 is not smart enough to follow the plot
So I am not a big melodrama fan and maybe that was why I did not love this, it was just meh? The ML and FL were adorable and their steps towards each other were cute. I just hated that they held really big problems in, ML in particular. The whole point of a relationship is having somebody to lean on! But what really annoyed me was the second FL. The drama kept on trying to redeem all the horrible things she did but I did not care. She was selfish and wanted everyone to hurt as much as she did. I liked the music tho, I appreciate classical music more now.
I don't mind older actors taking on these younger roles but match their love interests to their age spectrum. Nothing makes me feel grosser than watching a 45 year old man hitting on a 22 year old girl.
I have a soft spot in my heart for all restaurant dramas since "Chep" so I was enjoying this. But it seems in the last 6 episodes they forgot she was a chef? FL was so focused on being a world class chef in the beginning and by the end she was all about boys, cars and stupid decisions
