It happens every single time, but I still got my hopes high for a moment for the second male lead, resulting in pain again heheh Anyways, it was a very sweet drama :)
Right!? We didn't even get to see or hear anything about how he's doing in the present, but I guess whatever we got was better than them killing him off in a plane crush, as it was intended to at the start apparently.
This is one of the videos where the director explains to the actor abt how the drama will have multiple seasons, time stamp 02:04. There are more videos in that channel.
Also I feel like I'll be living for the possible slow burn love story of Ik Jun and Song Hwa this season, please let this ship sail throughout the course of these following 11 eps, I'm sooo rooting for them!! Like even the littlest scenes they have gosh like the one in the car with the gang when she had to look back to move her car back, loving these scenes!!
In terms of the main love story, though that's not the focus of the drama, may I just say that I really wouldn't have minded if the ML ended up with his school mate instead of the FL. I really did love and enjoyed their (ML & FL) scenes together, in fact I was super-eagerly waiting for them each episode, but how they reunited at the end felt more like we're back to square one again, right where it all started, just going in circles, with no development really. While I fell for the ML's story, which helped me emphasise with his character even more, no solid reasons or back story were given behind the FL's beliefs, which perhaps would have helped understand her a bit more, but then again, it's her belief, and she has right to have any I guess. However, the issue is that it clashes with his, and there was no hint of how they'll solve that, so I may be bias, but I'll dare say that maybe he deserved better, especially after all that he's gone through his life, really felt that character. Anyways, what I mean is that I'm not sure if it was a 'happy ending' for them, or better, if I'm happy about that ending of theirs tbh.
Lee Kwang Soo as the villain!?!? Hahahah That would be such an interesting sight! heheh All these ideas are so creative XD and can't complain about seeing Woo Do Hwan in most of them either heheh
The amount of 'sorry-s ' and 'tears' I've heard and seen in this drama gosh! hahah As a whole I did enjoy it, but there are few aspects in particular that made me appreciate the drama even more.
-1st the love story itself: the understanding and maturity both the characters showed, even at that young age, was truly admirable and their relationship flowed so naturally too, without any forced 'cliches' (not that I mind those either heheh) or 'extra-drama'.
-2nd I was pleasantly surprised and happy and grateful ( yess all of these emotions! heheh) that there were no love triangles in the drama. For example, a possible one with her adopted brother, and in fact, on that note, I've liked her brother's character a lot actually, he wasn't trying to 'control' her or anything per say, and plus he wasn't just a mere 'side-character' for the sole purpose to provide emotional support to our FL, but instead he had his own place and issues to go through , which I've quite liked.
-3rd the acting! Though everyone was very good, seriously, the whole cast, all the 'heroes', the 'villains' and the 'in-betweens' (like that reporter, gosh she was soooo annoyinggg!! But I guess it only means she did a good job heheh), I was very impressed by our ML's acting, both the young and adult version! There's thing thing about Nam Dareum (young ML), that at times it makes me thing, how can the young and older version of the characters he plays be soooo similar to each other!?!? ( I know that's the whole point of casting but still) Like from the way they (young & older versions of the ML) look at the FL, the way they talk, and again the LOOK (I really wanna emphasize it heheh, coz I'm sure if you've already watched it u know what I mean). Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that he did a really good job as usual, and in terms of Jang Ki Yong ( the older version of the ML), I've actually started this drama because of him and it is my first time seeing him in a lead role in a drama, and I have to say I was very impressed, like the little changes in expression he did, it was amazing!
So whether I gave it a 10/10 or less, may not be as important as the fact that it was surely worth the watch :-)
