Mine too. He left a long introductory message for his farewell. This really was his debut series.
Oh wow. It was quite impressive. This character is pretty different from his real life actions and presence (for the most part). He can be cute and kind of awkward. haha. He now has quite a bit to "live up to". I hope he works hard and does well, but doesn't feel too much pressure. I would like to read his farewell message sometime soon. I hope I can find it with an English translation. Haha.;)
Here is a gorgeous picture of our possible Second Male Lead: Tian Jia Rui, in "My Journey to You". I hope the styling may be something like this. https://kisskh.at/photos/1w3LAy_3. It is his very first time acting in a drama or production, and it left quite an impression on the audience. Edward Guo Jingming directed (and wrote ?) that drama too.
Actually, "I' Am Nobody" has some "issues" in my opinion. The quality in it is okay but really not that great, (from only watching a few episodes so far)not near as good as "My Journey To You." It seems as if you have "heard" things about Edward Guo Jinming, but not ACTUALLY checked out his work. I don't think he usually uses as many "filters" as many or most Chinese dramas do; that is why I said he makes them appear more "realistic". But he also uses angles, lighting and styling to really complement or bring out the attractive qualities and facial features of the actors and actresses. Sometimes the lighting can be a little dark, but his aesthetic or styling is one of the things I am Most excited about him possibly being the Director for this drama and Neo being in it. There are two very different Yin Yang movies. I don't have Netflix, so I don't know which one you are talking about. It is this one:https://kisskh.at/53307-qing-ya-ji. Yes, it is definitely not perfect and kind of creepy, but it has some qualities that are very interesting too see.
Some people like "Bromance" and that is one of Edward Guo's strengths and sometimes adds more "depth"(?) to their "relationships". If you like bromance, he will most likely deliver...
Any way, Guo JinMing, definitely has issues, which make me uncomfortable, but he is pretty skilled in Directing.
Of course if Neo wants to act as a supporting character, that is fine, but having main lead roles is particularly important (a little too much) for actors in Chinese entertainment. If he wants to keep getting offered leading roles and not only supporting ones, and to get "better" quality dramas, it is not good for him to be in supporting roles too frequently. 'They" will see it as kind of a down grade from his previous position as a leading actor, and that he can't carry a big production as the main leading actor. But supporting roles do have their benefits too...and can also sometimes lead to better quality productions as well...
I would really like Neo to be able to film Both dramas! Guo Jinming is amazing with visuals (makes everyone look ethereal, yet more "realistic"?), his fighting scenes are sharp and visually pleasing etc. He really is talented. Have you scene "My Journey to You", "Wuliang" and "Yin Yang Master", (with Deng Lun)? He directed those movies/drama.
Plus, Neo would be the main male lead in this drama.

I don't know what is going on. π€·ββοΈ
Glad to see Guo Jin Ming as the Director!! He definitely has issues, but he is also one of the BEST directors in the Chinese industry in my opinion.
