Yes. I am not crazy about him either. That is One of the reasons I already have Second Lead Syndrome. Haha.π
Yes, I agree with you. I feel the same way. I really do think that there needs to be some age variety in dramas. We all age and get older, so it is realistic and nice to sometimes see that on the screen. For me, it also depends on the character, story, the age/appearance of their costar (sometimes) and the way their age makes them look. For a male, (especially an Emperor,) for a male lead that is older-would look great with a dignified/elegant look and more chiselled features (in my opinion) rather than kind of saggy or frumpy. I think it depends. In the official pictures he does look better than a couple of the BTS that I have seen. Plus, Peng Xiao Ran appears rather young at times, so it could feel a little weird or awkward. Personally, I don't usually enjoy watching the male lead having a large age gap, (in being older than the female lead) in shows, but it might work in the context of this drama. So I am wishing for the best.ππ ....
I just might still have Second Male Lead Syndrome though, since I have seen a little BTS of them together in the same frame & a hug (& he is really physically attractive) Hahaha.π π€¦ββοΈ Hopefully, they will all act well, have chemistry, and do their parts/characters justice.π

I am not super young either, but he seems to have aged quite a bit from the few behind the scenes pictures/clips I have seen. But he will probably look better in the actual drama. It might have been partially from exhaustion or stress that he looked that way.
I hope that he will be able to "pull" us in with charisma and good acting. π
I am ready to witness complete destruction of the FL's character based solely on how much they will have altered…
I really like the dynamic with coming from the future, knowing some of the "orginal" storyline, how she intereacts with the other characters and especially with the male lead and Nie Sang Yu (her being able to feel her emotions & Ji Mans couple of "dreams" of her.
I haven't even read half of this long novel yet, so I only know so much, (plus a few spoilers I came across). Haha.
Will her twin sister be alive but some how missing? It makes me wonder if they have Ji Man's twin sister die, will she see her in dreams? Will she find her sister's journal or something to better understand what she felt? Isn't she supposed to have amnesia for awhile in the drama? So if she read journal entries, would she think that it was her who wrote them, when they were really from her twin? Or If her sister is still alive, will they write letters long distance?I don't know. I am just speculating about how they are going to work with her not being "sucked" into a story and her "unique" relationship with Nie Sang Yu, who will probably be her twin in the this drama.π€·ββοΈπ
I am still in the early part of the book, but I can already tell some of the changes too. It is rather concerning...
Oh! Thank you for the heads up. I am sorry for taking so long to reply back. I had mostly taken a "break" from reading during some of the holidays, so I wanted find where I left off and started reading again (I forgot a few things π€ͺ). I have been reading for hours now. Haha.π Aw. The male lead is the "Male lead"? He is something alright. π The SML is about to show up, and I am concerned that I will get Second Lead Syndrome bad. I can't hate the MML , because I know Ding Yuxi is going to be portraying a "version" of him. He is an interesting character at times, & insufferable at others. Haha.ππ¬π€ͺ It really seems as if they will change this story a lot. In some ways that might be good, (and I am excited) but some very important things or people are altered and I am concerned as to how they will do this drama. Will it be very recognizable?
