But most importantly, her "backing"are underhanded and dirty, and she is too flippant sometimes with how her actions affect others.

You might be right, I haven't seen it yet, but Duke Su is smart. He doesn't need everything spelled out to him. He already knows/thinks that she was Shen Yu Rong's wife, and if she said out loud "Why did you betray me". Duke Su can put 2 + 2 together, or at least highly suspect that she is talking about SYR. He would of course then watch Shen Yu Rong even More closely, to confirm & to gain insight/information. 😉
in the drama, it's waaaay too obvious to SH that JL is XFF. there's no guessing or surprise.
😁👍 it just makes more sense. It also connects things and her actions to seek justice. Having her barely survive, also makes it more personal, because her enemies know where it is coming from.
I recently saw a behind the scenes video clip of Liu Yuning rolling up his costume sleeve to look at his really badly bruised elbow and wrist. He put a type of ice pack or something on his elbow. It looked bad and he seemed to be in pain, almost teary eyed.🥺
