I don't think that was just being "nitpicky". There were others who were upset or bothered by it too. I was going into that drama expecting something else and got kind of disappointed. I kind of liked Zhou Ye at the time, but I mainly wanted to watch it for Wang Xing Yue, so...

I understand what you mean, but they actually gave the 2nd Male lead more Screen time. They hardly gave the ML (Wang Xing Yue) any sweet romantic moments with the female lead, and often had her treat him less etc. I personally really didn't enjoy that, especially when the 2nd male lead wasn't very attractive, didn't have much to his personality and hardly had any chemistry with the female lead.🤪
Sorry for my negative rant. There was a little good with that drama though.😊 We got to see Zhou Ye look really pretty with her hair down and her acting expand some. Haha.😅

I have noticed that some have as well. I really hope they do justice to the main male lead character and Wang Xing Yue, and give him plenty of screen time. This Producer kind of did him dirty before. I hope he won't do it again. I think WXY really seems to be close to perfect for this character! He is also so good looking and full of potential! Not to mention, that he has strong presence and a magnet gravitas to him, especially in Historical costumes!
