I always try to support FL because I feel like they receive more hate in dramas than ML. However that being said, I do think that some of the things that Sae Bom did in episode 3 were reckless. Specifically in regards to the wife who became a zombie. I don't understand why she opened the door so she would go out. Like why would you let a person who has become a zombie out. That was completely careless of her. Instead opening the the door for her to go out she should have tried to quickly go out the door and get herself out and quickly shut the door behind her. Letting a zombie out is extremely dangerous for everyone around in the apartment, what was she thinking? Like even if she thought she wouldn't be able to get to the door on time, letting the wife out was not a good option either and it just makes her look like she cares more about herself than all the people around her. Plus she literally had her phone she could have stayed secure in the shower and called for help with her phone. Like did she think that the wife would just stay in the living rooming calmly or that she wouldn't try and attack her own husband. I think that whole situation was just irresponsible of her. She shouldn't have even opened the door in the first place to talk to the wife when she first came , she should have called the officials/hospital to come or even the ML to come. I don't know why she thought she should open the door and talk to her. I know some may say it is also the husbands fault. Yes that is absolutely true it is also the husband fault because if he closed the door behind him as he ran his wife wouldn't have been running through the halls. However, it is also Sae Bom fault because she is the one who let the wife free from the bathroom in the first place and because of that the wife ran through the halls endangering everyone, like seriously the wife almost attacked the little girl and now the Grandma is probably infected which will now cause more trouble. I think the writer is trying to make certain things happen but at the cost of the FL character and image. The writer wanted the husband to push Sae bom in the bathroom so the writer chose to have Sae Bom open the door so she can be pushed into the bathroom. Then the writer wanted the wife to get loose so the writer could not have the Sae bom lock the the door behind her if she managed to get out of the bathroom, so instead he chose to have Sae bom let her loose. All these things he could have found different way to do it without having Sae Bom involved and acting irresponsible. The writer should have found a way to make it solely the Husbands fault and not the FL fault in anyway. With all that being said I am still routing for the FL and still love her bravery but I am hoping she will be able to grow and make better decisions in the coming episodes.
Edit: Just saw more of the subs and the husband was already calling someone for help but Sae Bom still let her out knowing that there was a child in the apartment building.
They are some thriller/action/ sci fi dramas that don't have romance tag but sometimes they end up having a little bit of romance in them or slight romance it's just maybe the romance is not the major part of the show. Examples like Vincenzo or Luca: the beginning. So sometimes the romance tag not being there doesn't completely rule out romance. This show is actually showing indication of romance.
All thing is good till now but her asking him to marry him was abit selfish of her.
To be honest he could have said no and rejected the idea and call her completely crazy, but he said yes. Not only did he say yes but he said he liked the idea of the marriage. So it looks like he is actually happy to be fake married to her.
There was a scene in episode two where the female lead had dialysis ?? They didn't mention anything about her…
I think she had a car accident or accident of some sort that made her have to repeat two years of school. I think it is mentioned in episode 1 when Tae Seok is reading information about her. And I think the blood thing was for the test for infection I don't think she has any other medical condition. Unless I also missed something too.
Seung Yeong story is like cautionary tale. His scratch wound looked like it was healing and there was a possibility that he was going to be totally fine but fear was making him think that his life was already over and that he would have a bad outcome and that fear drove him to do something more detrimental and that actually solidified the negative outcome and gave him no option but the negative outcome. At least before there was still a possibility that he might not become a zombie but with the action he ended up literally is the lions den of zombies where it was inventible that he would get bitten and become a zombie. If he did not go there and do something so risky, there was a possibility that he could have been fine and well with his wife and family but he was so fearful of the future. I think that is a message in happiness. Sometimes happiness is about about finding joy and peace now and in the present and not worrying about the future. Or having a stubborn optimism about the future. Of course It is easier said than done and it definitely not an easy thing to do. But you can see the contrast of Seung Yeong and Sae Bom. Sae Bom got scratched just like Seung Yeong and she was able to stay calm and she ended up not getting sick (let's hope its stays that way because there still a whole journey to go) however something about her personality is she is able to cope in difficult and tough situations and I think because of her positivity and mental strength she is able to do that. Even with the way she grew up she was able to hold onto that things will get better and that she will have her own space one day and I think what was what has got her through a lot of things. Of course she still will have her journey as we can slightly see that she also has her fears about turning into zombie but we hope she will be able to persevere like she always has.
Just watched EP1 and really liked! The plot seems interesting and the characters are nice. Main leads have a good…
I think maybe the writer is trying to match how real life might respond. If something like this would happened in real life I don't think the government and medical people and officials would also use the word zombies immediately. I think they would try use a scientific word or scientific explanation first because they would think zombies only happen in fictional world. So they would go a very logical route.
I personally like that they added a splash of romance in this drama and even hope that they put more romance. I don't understand why there is such a dislike for romance in thriller and action dramas. And I don't know why people think romance takes away from the main plot. Because I personally think that it doesn't take away from the plot but actually adds a different kind of layer or aspect to the drama. I think in some aspects I feel people think this genre is very tough and adding romance is too mooshy for the genre. And I think that is being too purist about the genre. There are a lot of thrillers and action drama's that generally opt to not have romance. And I haven't seen many zombie drama's that have romance with the main characters. So I think it is a nice twist and I feel like it will give a different dynamic. I just personally think that people shouldnt think of romance as a loss to a drama. At the end of the day people fall in love or have crushes and they are just simply adding that dynamic to drama.
I hope someone takes over the subtitling because it's a sore when you see them not being done properly.E.g. mount…
Are you talking about the subtitles on Viki? Because sometimes if one is too early they might have not gone through the editing stage of the subtitles yet. So hopefully later on it might be edited and fixed by the subtitle team working on the drama.
On IQIYI the rating is 9.8 a dramatic contrast to MDL ratings. Either people are being petty and harsh or that ratings needs to settle. So I guess we will wait and see.
I hope this will be crime heavy, something like a cult or serial murder would be dark but suitable for the setting.…
I actually like they are bringing a supernatural aspect to the drama, I think that gives it a unique twist from just a normal murder mystery series. The supernatural aspect is actually what is making me even more interested in the drama. There are many drama's that have serial killer storylines and very few go the supernatural route in recent dramas so I am happy they brought that aspect to this. I think they will possibly will be mixing all three, murder mystery / cult/ supernatural powers.
I agree. I think aside from the double standards in judging the characters, the thing is some of us finds Yumi's…
It's true to some that might be the case. But I think the people who are calling Yumi annoying I feel like it is more like they are indirectly saying that they wouldn't behave like Yumi. So there almost a disconnect and non understanding of how tricky the situations are and they expect her to act perfectly and make the right decisions. But that's just not how life is, we sometimes respond to situations emotionally and sometimes that might not be the most perfect decision and I think they are not understanding that. They almost forget that a lot of people in the situations that Yumi is in, including themselves would probably not respond in the most perfect way. So I would say it is more of forgetting and disconnecting from the situations that Yumi faces.
To be honest I think we allow ML more space to be more imperfect. Where as I feel like we criticize FL a bit more and quickly deem them as annoying more quickly. Where as people allow ML to be bossy, mean, cold, spoilt CEO's who basically act like jerks but people will brush by it and take it as characterization. But a girl having a journey of finding her self and self esteem we start to criticize. Yes Yumi is not perfect but to be honest I think I have seen worse FLs. Yumi is a girl who she doesn't know who she is, she is still very obsessed with proving her self to her friends and to society that she has accomplished something in her life. And that is very understandable at her age. She is also surrounded by people who are either getting married or are in a certain kind of lifestyle so she feels this need to prove that her life is also on the same track as them. And I know all of us can relate to that no matter what stage you are in your life, your probably had a moment where you wanted to prove yourself to people, whether your family or friends or simply what society expects of you at your age.
Also I think we need to realize that main character don't have to be perfect. And main characters don't have to make the right decision all the time. We tune in to see their journey. Because what is the point of watching a story of somebody if there isn't a journey, that's what character arcs are for. And in real life we don't always make the best decisions but we learn a long the way and that is what life is about. So basically I am saying let's have patience in Yumi and her journey.

I don't know if you know about there discussion tab on Drama channels on Dramalist that relate to the drama. Right underneath the recommendation tab there is a discussion tab on this page. You will see that someone created a Webtoon spoilers discussion. Here is also the link: https://kisskh.at/discussions/yumis-cell/66019-webtoon-spoilers
