It's true it could be simply that. I do believe that the Girlfriend is aware of his feelings for Makiko.
But in addition to that awareness I think there is something else there.

Here nonchalantly making comments about something bad could happen to him, all while simply sipping on tea or coffee. I don't know something seems just off.

It's true Makiko has the right to be in relationship with a single man. I really hope she finds out Keisuke is married so knows to stop anything romantic with him, hopefully.

It is now confirmed Junichi shot the robber not Keisuke's Father and Naoto witnessed it.
Naoto is such a cutie pie, and it is obvious he is covering for his friends or someone in specific.
I find Junichi's girlfriend suspicious.
Her conversations with Junichi always has an air of something else. I feel there is more to her character. The conversation Junichi and her had in ep 5 although packaged as care seemed more like a wishing or threat, don't know how to explain it.
I really hoping adult Makiko is not selfish enough to let her friend take blame for something he did not do in order to protect herself. In the past she was so kind and protective of Naoto. Hopefully that character trait still stays true.
It's possible Naoto does have feelings for Makiko, which they tried to obviously point to. However it is also possible Naota might not have romantic feelings for Makiko but someone else.

I think with Junichi, he holds friendship in high regard. He wants to give them benefit of the doubt first. But still investigate. I think he is more smarter than he presents. Especially how he dealt with the Makiko meet up with his girlfriend.

I agree I think Junichi showed some upstanding character bringing along his girlfriend and not having dining alone with her afterwards.

However, I do think all four still have possible motives. Though I think Makiko and Keisuke is too obvious. I still think Keisuke there is a possibility he could be the killer. Keisuke has a very intense need to prove himself as a partner and father. He is also highly jealous. Jealousy is his trigger. We still do not know what conversation he had with Naoto's brother. But I think that conversation is important.

That would be a an absolute twist if Makiko knows about his marriage. I would be so disappointed in her☹️

Exactly, Keisuke is really scumbag. Like his wife is literally pregnant. And then not even telling Makiko he is married and expecting a child.
This is all about competition for him. If Junichi wasn't there, I don't think he would start to desire Makiko again.
Even when he first saw Junichi as police officer, I think that's also what prompted him to approach Makiko romantically when they were older.

Thanks! Yeah the killer being related to the robber is also an excellent theory. That seems also very plausible. It would make sense that they would want revenge. Yeah I'm scared he has trauma from killing the robber 😭.

At this point I think I think Makiko is too obvious.
I talked about this on discord, in the Kendo team photo there was another boy in the photo. I think that boy is important to the story. The colleague, detective Nagai is highly suspicious to me. He seemed triggered Ms Nara mixed up his name.
There that whole conversation in ep 1 how 23 years is a long time, it would be hard to recognize your childhood friends.
I think the colleague, Nagai is the boy in their Kendo team. Then ep 3 the colleague was doing Kendo with Junichi the male lead. I think that is deliberate highlight.
So I think there is possibility the person who took the gun from the capsule was not any of the four.
Someone could have been following them around, someone from school or from the Kendo team like the boy. The boy from Kendo team might also have known Makiko's Birthday, since he was in their team.
Ms Nara hatred for the four is very obvious. And she seems very fixated about the civilian who got killed which I think she is some how connected to that person.
So much to discuss. But then I will write a whole essay hahaha.

Even the hug at the end from SML she could have pushed him away. She was just standing there while he confessed while hugging her. 😭

Even after all the bad things she experienced she is still not wise. She thinks everyone has good intentions.

Watched ep 5.
So many sweet moments 🥰. Loved how they had a good heart to heart talk. Loved that he apologized and that he actually admitted to trying to give revenge 😂. Straightforward, atleast that won't be rain cloud over their heads.
Their so cute together, can't wait see more moments of them together.

Also second male needs to back off. Clearly he has bad intentions. Hopefully he doesn't cause too much trouble 😭

Haha it's true some people might have been disappointed there wasn't any complicated revenge romance plot. But ML is too kind and a softie. My heart is at ease.

Exactly can't wait for them to have a heart to heart talk. They ended ep 4 right at that moment, why? 😭It's true hopefully FL gives ML a heads up on her mother. Because it's seems like from the preview they do bump into her.

Yeah the older generation are normally very stuck in their ways. So I don't know if she will change. The main leads might just have to simply rebel and live their lives.
Who is worse out of the mothers, good question. I think both are really bad.
Low key think the FL mother, she is extremely malicious, with the mean words she said about ML and for the toxic ideas she has said to FL. ML mother is no walk in the park either extremely controlling, superficial, money and business centered and she did call her son useless. Both horrible. I hope the main leads get the strength to stand up to them.

And I hope that the SML doesn't cause so much trouble. We have 6 episodes to go, so something is definitely going to happen.
SML might end up falling for FL too and cause misunderstandings 😖

It would have been a ticking bomb, her heart would have been really broken.
But now she knows his identity they can talk and resolve any misunderstandings and have a genuine relationship, no ticking bomb.
Which I am utterly surprised the writer decided to save us from that heartbreak.

Love that he also came to those conclusions and self reflection even before the FL confesses her feelings.
Shows that his growth is irrespective of she likes him or not.

You actually make a good point. Maybe the second lead is sent by ML's mother. From the clip, it does seem like he is already approaching her which seems suspicious 🤔.

Also FL mother is going to get a surprise of her life. Her prejudice is going to get confronted. Because now she might be treating the ML different but get shocked that the ML was the boy she was talking to so meanly about.

No one excepted his reasoning, haha but I thinks its very clear he doesn't want to take revenge anymore. He literally said revenge is not worth it😂. He even ended their fake relationship.
Then later on admitted to himself his wrongs, such as thinking of himself and being petty and that he should move forward.

The remaining plot will probably be dealing with other things such as the mean mothers.
The crazy fiance, and so forth haha

Did you watch episode 4? Alot of things were resolved haha. Ml actually isn't that bad, he admitted he was being petty.
