You have the exact same theory as my sister. She thinks the mother had something to do with FL not showing up and rejecting him. I think so too. I do also think the FL actually did like him. But either she somehow convinced herself out of it. Like even in the present she found a way to say they are again not a match because of low self esteem. That might have also been the case when she was younger.
So now we have the reason! I knew it, Basically he projected his inferioty complex 🤦🏿♀️ The FL was so nice and sweet to him. She just simply rejected his feelings. She has the right to reject his feelings doesn't mean she is a mean person or looking down on him. All of his anger is basically from paranoia that everyone is looking down on him. But the FL can't just accept his feelings just to just sooth his inferioty complex. That's not how life works. Edit: I actually think she did like him.
To be honest he isn't really out for revenge, nor does he really hate her, he simply lying to himself. It's almost like he is trying to prove himself to her, to get her to like him. Like he said in other scene, "how do I get you to look at me." All of the things he has done recently has helped the FL. He spent the episode even taking care of her. Even his secretary knows what is happening. So his supposed plan for revenge is no where to be seen and is a false name.

Yeah I agree, I can see the exes possibly colluding with the ML mother. Because ML mother will be annoyed her son decided to be with the FL instead of the lady who she is forcing him to marry. She might then find out who th FL ex is and use him against her.
However, I don't think ML will use the exes against her. At the moment, he seems he doesn't want others to mess with her, possibly, hopefully, haha. It seems like he will go the route of being very nice and make her fall in love with him, then dump her and break her heart. But I don't think that will go to plan, after getting to really know her.
I do think he confessed to FL but she was not looking to have a relationship during that time and rejected him. Then possibly he misunderstood a conversation he overheard, thinking she was looking down on him, but she wasn't. I do think he really has incorrect imagery of her. I think he will be shocked that she is actually really down to earth. Even the fact she didn't care for a fancy meal but just simply wanted a homecooked meal. I think he will realise that more and more. I think his anger towards her is projected from his experience from others. I think he has heavily misinterpreted her actions because of his negative experiences in life. I agree, I do think there was a third party involved and the person lied.

Exactly ML is definitely mistaken and there is definitely misunderstanding because FL is kind and doesn't even have confidence or high esteem, so I can't even imagine her intentionally being mean. That is why us viewers are so confused why he would want revenge on her.
Yeah he will be tormented by his own feelings for her while trying to seek vengeance. Because clearly he is lyng to himself. Can't wait to see him realize he was wrong about her.

Really liked that a lot of things were resolved in EP 24. ML And FL finally clearing miscommunication about the letters 😭. and exposing their feelings for each other so happy about that. And Captain and ML too finally talking it out. I really like their friendship, so I am glad they are getting back to how they were. And the tension between Captain and Miss Shi in episode 24. They are clearly falling for each other. The way Miss was staring at Captain as he cooked the noodles. She's smitten.
Considering the timeline and the settings...I think we Shouldn't be surprised by any Tragedy.I also think ML.is…
I started preparing my heart from the first episode haha, because I just came from a republican drama, which characters didn't survive. For this drama I am really just hoping despite the timeline and era that maybe the writer will create a happy ending 😭.
For some reason I think the ML will survive, hopefully.
There is a chance for a happy ending but I am also scared that one person might not survive. Captain is one of the people I am scared might not survive. Captain is very self sacrificing as we have seen multiple times he would put himself in danger in order to protect others. He literally covered ML body with his to protect him from getting shot. I am also scared about FL too. But I am hoping that the writer provides escape from reality.
I am really hoping that the Fourth station will be established again and everyone in the photo will be present. And the ML and FL get together and Captain and French teacher( Jun Yu) get together. I guess we will have to see.
