I am the opposite. I thought the first 9 episodes were really good and 10/10 but after that it lost its steam.

I really hated that yeomhwa didn't get any consequences for all the evil she did. It would have been satisfactory if she died. I hated her so so much. Idk why she even had a redemption arc. She was purely evil

Also why did everyone think bong su is very evil? He seemed like the only one in the show with an actual personality. Gyeon U was boring as heck and idk why Seong A liked him

Makes sense. 1st half was WAYYY better than the 2nd half. I wish they kept the same screenwriter throughout

For tencent, my favs are "Prisoner of Beauty" and "The glory".

For IQIYI, my favs are "A dream within a dream" and "The demon hunter's romance".

Youku has so many good period and xianxia dramas ready to be released but they keep releasing modern dramas. Both iqiyi and tencent have released many good period dramas this year but I can't remember the last time I watched a Youku period drama

For future viewers-

This is nothing like your typical xianxia. If you think the first 10-11 episodes are too cliche, please continue watching. I promise, you are in for a ride. There are a lot of plot twists

I am liking it way better than TTEOM. The story and the message portrayed is much deeper here. It deserves atleast an 8.6.

I really hope that whatever happened between HRY and BJS in previous life is not a misunderstanding. Bcoz if it WAS a misunderstanding, i would not be able to take HRY's 'revenge' seriously.

Like can Cdramas make the male lead morally grey for once?? In every xianxia drama, the male lead is just a pitiful character who is misunderstood.

Is this based on a novel? If so, can anyone tell me how long the amnesia plot will last? I want LQY to remember her past life

I am not a fan (neither an anti-fan), but why does he have so many haters? I don't think he has done anything bad or was involved in a major scandal as far as I remember.

Well she didn't really have any choice. She even says in ep 11 or 12 that if she doesn't manage to sow discord between Wei and Qiao family, her husband will look at her just like he look at those common ladies on the streets i.e worthless.

Hopefully it will hit 30k heat index today and reach a peak of atleast 32k in the coming days 🤞

This year only 1 drama has hit 30k on tencent and that is "The glory", so yeah its rare and only popular shows reach it.

Its not a wuxia or xianxia drama. It has no magical elements. As for whether its worth watching, if you like romance dramas then you will love it.
