I wanted to see how they handled that seen (of ep10) in the novel. So, I read that particular chapter only. Maybe its bcoz I read only 1 chapter and not the full novel but I didn't really find it romantic. Its like she didn't want to do that, but was forced to.

He apologized right there and then and even showed remorse after that. Not to mention he was literally drugged.

The FL said everything I wanted to say about ML's mother in episode 10

Someone said he masturbated to a portrait of the FL in the novel after getting drunk. But I don't think they would keep that scene in the drama.

I haven't read it myself, but alot of people said that the FL is smarter in the drama compared to the novel. Also the novel has a lot of 18+ scenes

I have watched one episode of blossom and was bored as heck so never picked it up again. (Just my opinion)

Exactly. Its a romance drama first and foremost. Political and revenge part are secondary, maybe thats why I am loving it so much.

I feel like her acting is really good here and its my first SZE drama too. As for the line delivery, are you Chinese? (bcoz you need to understand chinese whether to know her line delivery is good or not)

I have personally never seen Chinese people have problem with her line delivery. They also say she is one of the better actresses of this generation.

She only did that bcoz the ML stationed troops at Panyi. And he literally says that he will go after Qiao family and kill them. Even though they are incompetent, they are still her family. Having Boya under Qiao's control gave her leverage over the ML.

Not to mention that after talking with Mrs Xu, she realized her mistake and didn't go after Xiaogang.

Both the leads are portrayed as complex characters. They are not perfect but they learn from their mistakes and grow. Imo it is the biggest strength of this drama.

This drama deserves atleast 8.6 based on the first 7 episodes. 8.1 is just TOO low for it

Can you tell how it was portrayed in the novel?

Yeah it had a scratch but we still don't know who did it and the FL was able to prove her innocence. As for whether he was apologetic later or not, You need to watch it to understand it.

I hope they don't censor all of those scenes 😭
