Disagree. I thoroughly enjoyed Bon Appetite and thought this was barely watchable.
I enjoyed this drama more than Bon Appetit cause it has many layers and stories, also there are clear messages about love that were being well delivered.
Honest review : if you enjoyed watching Bon appetit your majesté, you will love this one , it is a lighthearted fun and cringe drama you can binge watch it in one day. The chemistry between actors is good and there are good com scenes. Overall it is good if you are familiar with Netflix ROM COMS. The script is good I love that they didn't only focus on boyfriends and I also loved that other characters experienced the app not only the FL. My only take is that they could work more on the serious crying scenes but I get that it is because a ROM COM they didn't focus on that.
y’all acting like i just woke up and decided to hate when this convo has literally been happening everywhere,…
I respect your opinion and I really hope with time and with good scripts Jisoo proves that she deserves a place in that k industry cause I really enjoyed her acting in Snowdrop and Newtopia.

The issue is that these 'critiques' usually come from people who have only seen the trailers. If you look at the actual professional reviews for Newtopia, for instance, the critics aren't attacking the Female Lead; they’re questioning the script's pacing. In fact, Episode 6 which featured Jisoo’s solo scenes, was one of the most highly rated and appreciated segments of the series. This shift in perspective only happens when professionals actually sit down and watch the entire production. Success in a drama depends on far more than just acting or perfect pronunciation. While those might be sticking points for a local Korean audience, dramas today aren't produced solely for Korea; that’s exactly why Netflix and other OTT platforms invest so heavily in these projects. They are global products. I’m not a 'blind' fan. I have no problem criticizing Jisoo myself when it’s warranted. What annoys me is that because of her massive popularity, the hate feels incredibly forced. For example, as a long-time drama lover, I couldn't even finish Our Universe because of the lead's acting, yet that actress continues to land major roles without a peep from the public. Do Koreans scrutinize her with the same intensity? No. And they don't because she isn't Jisoo from BLACKPINK. That’s the double standard and the likes for your comments prove that cause why they are here reading and liking all this if this pisses them off. And that's why you will also people defending her not as an actress but for being criticized just because she is famous and popular.
Also I'm really getting pissed off that she lands all these main roles when her acting talent imo is non-existent.…
I wouldn't comment if you really said this after watching the whole drama and not just the trailer of a ROM COM. This will be a silly drama I advise you not to watch it cause no one watches the dramas of an actress who pisses them off. Also Snowdrop is full of deep emotions if you really care about Jisoo acting. One more thing, the world is changing even content creators are getting roles because of their popularity so if a competent member from a big global group who can even produce her works herself doesn't get lead roles after snowdrop and Newtopia it will be ridiculous tbh.
Am so excited for this drama ^^ I discovered Jisoo after watching snowdrop because I know the ML and I fell in love with her innocent acting she really portrayed the character very well, then with Newtopia she was so funny and clumpsy that you forget she is an idol. That train scene was the best I always see clips of her killing the zombies in Instagram and tiktok with so many views and likes and you will find non fans asking about the drama name. I think step by step she will improve her skills as an actress and she will find her color. A lot of known Korean actresses improved their acting with time and with good scripts they proved their talent. I really hope Jisoo go back to romance/melodrama cause she nailed that one but it is also amazing seeing her trying different genres.
Absolutely refreshing, undeniably unique, and immensely satisfying! It would have been an instant hit if all eight episodes had dropped at once. I’ll admit, the first three episodes, aside from that eyeroll scene, weren’t the strongest, but the show kept improving. It felt like the writers, director, and actors gradually found their rhythm, delivering a gripping and rewarding experience. Now, I’m fully invested and eagerly hoping for a Season 2!
Some people just don’t get it! This drama is about the apocalypse itself, the complex dynamics between society, the army, and the citizens, and how people navigate survival in chaos. One of the standout aspects is the relentless pace at which characters are killed off, leaving no time to mourn. I also saw a comment claiming that the male lead "carried the drama", which is honestly hilarious! If you actually watched Episode 6, you’d see that the female lead is the one keeping this show from becoming dull. I agree that the first few episodes could have been better, but making a new genre is tough, and it’s great to see such a bold attempt.
I always binge-watch shows like this to get a deeper understanding of the writer's perspective, so I wish they had dropped all the episodes at once. However, I get that this is Coupang Play’s first project of this kind, and they need to sustain the hype for a longer period. Episode 4 is my second favorite so far, right after Episode 2. The actors are truly doing justice to their roles, bringing their characters to life in a way that keeps me invested. The highlight for me was the suicide scene, not overwhelmingly intense since the show is a zom-rom, but it effectively conveyed what it needed to. Some characters remain quite mysterious, like Ra In Ho and the hotel woman, which keeps me intrigued about what’s to come. I’m really curious to see how their storylines unfold in the upcoming episodes.
P.S. The FL is absolutely stunning, and we finally got to see her chemistry with the ML
I just finished episode 1. The acting was good, but the pacing felt slow, which is expected for an introduction episode . I could really feel their frustration. Why is military service in Korea so long? More than a year ?? people can change and accomplish so much in that time.
