I love the osts, especially Kim Taehyung's Christmas Tree. Yet I keep remembering the songs from Tomorrow x Together that felt really similar to the drama. Which is called, 'Our Summer' and 'We Lost the Summer' If anyone makes an FMV for it, I would totally watch that.
What do you guys think if NJ and Ji-ung ended up together? I think they're really cute every time they communicate with one another. They understand each other and has similar situations. If I remembered correctly, especially during episode 14.
The coworker is too similar to Ji-ung that I feel that they can't communicate properly if they were ever in a relationship.
Do you guys think that Choi Woong/Ung named himself Ko-o/ Go-o as an artist because for the last five years, he was never over Gook/Kook Yeonsu? See how the name is similar to hers? Though it was never mentioned in the drama, ever.
I thought it was a movie about sending letters to the president. Maybe the title is misleading me or I'm just stupid. It's just as unrelated and useless as Yoona in the later half of the movie. Turns out it's all about trains.
I thought it was just me but seeing the comments, I guess I’m not alone. It was like pulling teeth for me to…
I actually stopped at episode 14 because I couldn't bare as the story became more draggy. My sister practically watched through the whole episodes and just recapped it for me. She too, had a hard time, pausing it from time to time. But we watched the last episode together, and I couldn't be more perplexed. It's not a hateable show, but I didn't like it either. Nice plot, draggy story. Could've done better with a female centric ruler.
I also have some questions that I can't seem to comprehend. Such as, why are twins considered ominous? Why can't…
That's very interesting! I have also encountered this kind of topic in an article I've recently seen. But still, there is no record in history books of this practice. So, it's kind of made up to the sense that it's real?
I just want to rant about it to be honest. I don't hate the drama, but I don't like it either. The plot and cast…
The most saddest part is that the supposed to be main leads or actors besides Rowoon and Eun Bin, have little to no screen time that they seem to be supporting actors with no big impact to the main plot whatsoever even though it's 20 episodes long.
I just want to rant about it to be honest. I don't hate the drama, but I don't like it either. The plot and cast…
The most dumbest thing I have ever seen in this drama is how her uncle/cousin fake death and eventually dies again. How Scribe Jung's father in the end attacked the grandfather alone with no plan and people to charge with, is asking to be killed when the Crown Prince clearly told him not to die for him to repent his sins. And Scribe Jung asking for her affection back when she's was a Crown Prince, like a crazed lovelorn and doesn't care about the consequences that would put her in a pickle.
I just want to rant about it to be honest. I don't hate the drama, but I don't like it either. The plot and cast…
I also have some questions that I can't seem to comprehend. Such as, why are twins considered ominous? Why can't a ruler be a female or queen? How did she survived the poison? Did Scribe Jung treated her? How? And if so, why didn't they treated the former King? Is it because they didn't know, or Scribe Jung is the bestest physician in their whole kingdom? How could her grandfather commit treason? Isn't the kingdom or soldiers suppose to protect the palace and the King? So many questions. I hope some could answer it :D
I just want to rant about it to be honest. I don't hate the drama, but I don't like it either. The plot and cast is what made me watch it, it just didn't work out in the process. I have to say it's repetitive and dumb. The Crown Prince, has so much potential to be a stronger, smarter leader even though, as everyone says that she's a girl. But all has been held back for this romantic plot trope and made her somewhat a damsel in distress. Even though she is shoved into being a royalty, she is trained to lead her subjects and create a better kingdom, she is shown to have the smarts and compassion to be a great king, but she kept saying she doesn't want it? She followed orders like a puppet instead of giving herself that freedom, hoping for a dreadful acceptance from her grandfather whom she eventually killed in the end. Acceptance from her father who has granted her freedom but went back to palace to continue the lie. Was saved from poison and has granted her freedom from the palace, only to wish for a punishment for the mistake she was forced to take. And in the end, she was kicked out of the palace as they erase all of her years she spent being metally tortured inside the palace in the records, as if she didn't exist. And then she gets her happily ever after? She was given many chance for her freedom, but she kept coming back to the palace like she has some obligations and for her kingdom, only to be kicked out in the end with the same result. I thought they would show some badass female King that would rule her subjects to a better country, like Mr Queen. But instead they just used the female lead for the romance trope. So many wasted potential. The two leads have some chemistry, but not as of lovers, yet as good friends. But the drama kept shoving us their long stares of 'affection' that it feels forced. They even wasted the supporting casts potential. I think the bodyguard has a way better background for the story as the main lead than the male lead who only tutors and treats people for a short amount of time, and spends a lot of time wasting the female lead's time with goggly eye session. As for the directing style, the only complaint I have is that you can't see anything during the night scenes. They're like shadows moving around with a few hint of colors. The only thing I like about this drama are the first two episodes where the children's are in place. The rest is a mess. Ending note, they could've done better with the characterization and the story moving forward. The only good thing about it is that it ended.
The writer really did Tae Soo dirty! Did he really die? If yes, it’s so unfair that he didn’t get to redeem…
Let's just say at least in the end, Tae Soo and friends got reborn as kitties that were sitting on the bench before the main gang opened up their business district. As the girl on their group said before they died, instead of a tiger like the guy wanted, she said they will reincarnate as a kitty. And they'll be perfectly happy with each other's company as innocent free from sin kitties :D
Aside from the main issue against this drama, that bothers me the most too, the close up shots
Guessing it's the director's style. I was watching Sky Castle with mom on tv and I noticed that the director really likes those close up shots to emphasize meaning or something. Beautiful, but quite bothering.
That Romeo & Juliet book though, it was foreshadowing a tragic ending.
My only complain about this drama is that most of the shots are super close to the face, and a lot of times shaky. And because I have motion sickness, it sometimes make me dizzy. But it's beautifully designed and filtered so I couldn't look away even for a second.
The BGM of the trailer sold me on to try and watch this!

Any thoughts?

I just want to know why they were so against it, or it's just to dramatize the plot going forward. But I guess I'll just put in on my list of unanswered questions :)
