I really wonder if I am watching the same drama with people calling HQ selfish.
Because of all the rules in that time period she can't be with the Lord, even Her Highness warned her off him, after all she has done for HQ, she has to listen and respect her elder.. The very fact she is pushing him away shows she is not selfish, she does like him. He also couldn't just get the Meng family straight away and she is just supposed just run into his arms, seriously? After spying on her all the time too. She has been nice to her maids and her guard. She is not selfish. She is trying to do the best she can for her family and people she meets along the way and just leave this whole power struggle business.
Until episode 20, ZXW's role was still unclear, how could a Lord be rejected by his servant's daughter? But it's…
I personally like dramas like this. There are so many dramas out there that just focus on an FL & ML together, we always see it. I know people always complain about it, same comments came up on LLTG and GWTR, the FLs had other love interests before the ML just like what happens in real life, you don't always just find the one . I think they always act so well too, because even though there are not together a lot you can always feel the chemistry when they are with the ML.
Wonder what’s with that crazy girl. The one who lives with Her Highness. She looks like a psycho. There is definitely going to be trouble from her. Pity her poor maid, she tries her best to keep her in check.
She was probably nice we don't get to see her side of the story that leads to this, since she isn't the FL in this. In a different drama she is set up to be FL, she has most of the tropes. Childhood sweetheart, falling from a tree into man's arms, maid to an ML, family framed seeks justice all that good stuff lol. So they all fall for her as the heroine lol.
One of the reasons I am loving this drama is HQ's character gets to think logically, usually her character would have been the annoying second lead who does all this bad stuff to get the man, she even knocks some sense into the Wu guy, like why are trying to get a girl who doesn't like you.
I like all 3 dramas though. I am just weird like that 😂
