FL and ML make such a cute couple. Way better than I imagined they would. They have such a healthy relationship hope they continue this way.

Yes, he actually didn't qualify in the first place. He also missed when the seniors pretended to be demons attacking. His cousin didn't help matters. Then there is the jealousy with FL included. He should have been more like SFL and accepted she isn't into him..

They have helped him to control the power so he doesn’t die because he was pushing too much so he could save his mum. If any student had needed that they would have done the same. His jealousy to the level he has taken it is not justified. You don’t see anyone else reacting like that.

XY biggest motivation is to save his mother, this is why he pushes so hard. If the others were on the verge of dying they would have been helped too. If they favored him they would have searched for him when he fell off the cliff. He has already been imprisoned twice, nothing has come easy for him. I don’t think the leader sect was biased, I mean it’s a big thing that his mother has been imprisoned for so long how can you not mention it when you meet the son.
His aunt was definitely wrong but she was thinking she was doing the right thing for him. You still wouldn’t kill someone who raised you just because you felt they did not favor you. So many people feel they are not their parents favorites, it’s not justified to kill them. Why is Situ not even seeing his part in some things and just hating on XY. His cousin was kidnapped because he didn’t listen to him, but blamed XY. Situ had his own baggage before he came, that’s the problem. XY is not getting any extra support really it was life and death situation they would have helped any other student the same way if they needed it. Those elders don’t go out of their way much to help anyone really.

I don't think he is favored because of his mum at all. People don't even think he has the blood. He works hard is what people see and he is a nice person. That woman would have given to anyone else to heal if they needed it, he had too much power in him that he could not yet control was my understanding that he could die if he kept doing that, that's why they helped him.
I don't get Situ at all, he was helped to enter the academy. He would not have got in if XY hadn't told FL to wake him up. He has killed so many people, including his own aunt and cousin and even tried to frame his Master and framed XY. He keeps cheating to get things, like why was no-one there to see how he cheated to enter that next academy. There is no 'nepo baby' with ML he works hard and uses his smarts to get where he is, without cheating anyone.

When he fell, they should have checked instead of just assume. It was their star student you would at least want a proper burial with a body. It was so easy for them to go there.
With the imprisonment of SH, his story was not even convincing and then the vanishing technique being used like that yet they were ready to crucify Qiu Bai with no solid evidence just hearsay. That’s why I say it’s disjointed. It’s so poorly written it’s frustrating.

It's the level of stupidity that's frustrating. It's disjointed. I don't mind bad guys winning but make it make sense. A few examples:

-Why is no one watching Ji Rong yet they were told to, FL caught on early and ML told them to watch her, yet she runs around like she owns the place. Ji Rong is getting a lot of screen time to show us these annoying tricks we all see through easily. They could have written the script better to make us think she is on the good side and nice plot twist for the viewer than this.

-When DXY fell off the cliff no one really went to look for him except FL, when he got out they all just waltzed in there, like come on. You could have done this earlier

-Why did the elders imprison DXY and didn't do the same for SH.

-Why did they not go as soon as they got the heads up about XueyingTerritory

Then there are all the annoying side characters.

Make the script more complicated with the bad wining no problem, these silly things that can easily be avoided make it so frustrating, they make you question how they ever survived without DXY and his crew, they are the only ones doing something sensible.

I will keep watching for now, since I enjoy watching Xu Kai.
