It’s silly to make his character obsessed like this over someone he has just found is female, after all the work his done to get where he is now it’s “ all I ever wanted is her blah blah BS.” They need to do better writing.

When he was having the conversation with Fuyue I will quote word for word he says
"I wanted to use the GMD and grow spiritual veins in the past for her. If I can’t be with her all of this is meaningless.”

These dramas really need to improve on how they write a SML initially he did want to get the GMD for himself now they made him say he only wanted it to be with her, come on now. It’s not consistent writing, he has only known she is female a couple or so months ago.
The drama Serendipity which LYX was also female lead ended up ruining a good SML character into a bad obsessed one too and that dragged.

Yeah he started to explain and seemed to get tired. Under real life conditions both would be wrong re- consent.
In the Xianxia drama world they can both get away with it, I have seen worse were we still ship the leads and the ML leads have done far worse.

We cannot be sure, but from her actions she didn't want to take anything else from him because of the guilt she had and not outwardly telling him she was the one poisoned.
Either way if someone uses the consent angle it should be applied to both, no-one should be giving anyone anything without their consent. But not complaining cause my girl has to live lol..

It is still a consent issue for both ML and SML, because one is a softer approach doesn't mean its right. She would also not have wanted to take the GMD from ML. Situ Ling was about to explain it looks like he just got tired and since he was actually in pain from the blood draw he opted for the spell.

He was about to let her know ,what it was but was getting physically weak and tired to keep speaking. He is much weaker than he was before, that's why the ring is getting to him, Fuyue also warned him the process would destroy his mind.. He is a good person at his core it's a shame he will end up on this path wish they had written it different but I guess we need an ultimate villain.

Unpopular opinion but Situ Ling didn't do anything wrong in this episode, he is trying his best to save MY. Feel sorry for him the ring is going to do a number on him, he really wanted to help her with not expecting anything back and not be like his brothers as he says to Fuyue. But he is now weaker and so the ring is going to corrupt him. Poor guy.

Nobody knows how to be honest in this drama, its actually pretty hard lol...

That detector found her a few times in front of him. He could have found out by seeing the way she fights he has fought with her before. It’s not that deep because it’s the script it just makes me giggle, especially when everyone is waiting for her to say just putting blame on her, my man could have also figured it out himself, it’s the script we have to suspend disbelief 😂. Enjoying the drama anyway.

He has had so many opportunities to connect the dots and look at that wrist each time she goes unconscious lol....
