Totally agree, I also think they shouldn’t have shown us the mother nearly succeeding in getting the father, only for it be stopped by FL and then she goes on to die. Knowing he could have been gone ages ago is annoying. It became repetitive.

It’s so annoying. Both fans and people who do not like the drama do it. Like why rate 10 all the way to the last episode or vice versa. Wish they could lock the episode rating until the episode airs.

They seem to like it when it’s the ML, only ML is allowed to be red flag, when it’s second lead they can see clearly 😂.

In dramas the majority seem to like red flags on MDL. I remember when I was watching Kill Me Love Me people were so upset he wasn’t the red flag they thought he would be.

Xiwen is amazing, the acting is WOW, she has so many words of wisdom for her daughter and she did try to protect her, sometimes I think FL should just let it go- yes you want a family but girl its for your own good to leave it. I hope FL doesn't ruin her mother's revenge plan, I think Xiwen should get her revenge. Can't wait to know the full story. Since this is apparently is the same writer for The Double, I think supporting characters will be fully fleshed out with compelling stories behind their motives.

Maybe poisoned when pregnant by concubine or FL’s father wanted to further trap her?

Wish she could toss him after, that would be epic! She will probably drop the heavy metal makeup and go back to her hair in a bun look, playing happy families with him after. Boring lol....

I know we don't like Se Yeong the character, but she did look pretty in her wedding dress. Hope to see the actress in other nicer character roles, hope she doesn't go down the botox route too. She is a pretty girl.

Sending her away was the protection from whatever we do not know yet. She didn’t send her to suffer, they were unfortunately bad people, she could not predicted they were going to do that. We do not know full story yet to know what Yuwen Chang An could have done. Right now the father does have full power over FL’s mother. He was able to just lock her up and take management of the house.

The mother was also going through stuff we do not know, and we do not know if the mother knew she was nearly raped. I think I was sold when FL said something along the lines of “ I can see you were drowning just like I was”. What the mother did was still coming from a place of love and protection, we just don’t know the full story yet. FL is still human and I think it’s normal to want love and affection from the person who brought you into this world, and her eavesdropping hearing her mother wants to protect her. How can she hate after that? Why create another enemy yet there are other real enemies you can work together to put down?

I am actually starting to like the mother. I think we will find out more as story unfolds. She is trying to protect her daughter, I don't agree with her methods but we now know it's coming from a place of love. FL sees this, she is not spineless, but wants to help her, and does not want to be enemies with her since the mother is trying to protect her in her own twisted way.

This is so good!!! So far, both leads are so interesting and well written.
