His character Yi Yang Jun in My Uncanny Destiny is one of my top 3 second make leads. ❤️ Yi Yang Jun was fun, funny, loyal, fair, idealistic, and freaking adorable. If I can't have that character as my boyfriend, I'd love him to be my best guy friend. He seems such a great guy to be around! 😍

It's 2025, I came to write my OMG and WTH/F impressions after watching the first 15 minutes and wow, you said pretty much everything I thought...but 7 years earlier!!! LOL!! I can't believe someone agreed to fund this piece of writing. It's the 21st century! Is there really a profitable market for such types of stories - silly FL, toxic and childish male behavior, etc.??

It's 2024 and I'm looking for something like Secret Love Affair which I am watching right now and found this review. OMG! I'm blown away by your reflections and your review. 1,000 YESes to what you said! I cannot stand weak female leads. I don't mind if they grow from weak to strong, like Yang Ying but it's so annoying when they are written to be saved/ rescued. And I love Ruyi not just she is fearless and clever but she has some imperfections that she continuously learns to work through. Perfectly perfect characters are also hard to resonate with but Ruyi is perfectly imperfect. Love her!

Alen Fang is the main male lead in Love by Hypnotic. I totally enjoyed that series. He's got some chemistry with the female lead there. There are wonderful groups of friends (female and male) in that drama...and the first SML , Pugu Yun Si character (or any male character) I've ever seen with facial hair that looks masculine and hot! LOL!

And the fight scenes are AWESOME!

Haha! I'll be rewatching The Long Ballad as well. Both Liu Yu Ning and Alen Fang play such different characters there. I love seeing their range. I think LYN has grown a lot as an actor. Much respect to them both for their musicality as well.

Episode 16. Oh. Emm. Gee!! I absolutely LOVE Princess Yang Ying's character development. In this episode, I could see so clearly her toggling between the old, insecure, mousy Yang Ying and the new, regally assertive Prince Li...and all her feelings and confusion between who and what to trust. I have not loved a secondary or even main princess character this much since Princess Le Yan in The Long Ballad. The writer is a GENIUS! Thank you so much for not writing weak female characters here.

Just finished The Legend of Zhouhua for the 2nd time and really liked 1st Prince as portrated Zhou Yiran and came looking for his future work. Found this listing and got even more excited seeing He Lan Dou on the cast list. I absolutely ADORED her as Princess Yang Ying in A Journey to Love. They are such talented young actors! I would have preferred to see them in historical costumes but that's okay...I hope this one gets released soon.
