Final rating: 7.5
I can't give it a higher rating b/c there were lots of people in this drama that I skipped over (the mother, the dad, the older siblings, the youngest sibling, the best friend and her family...) I watched Every scene with Hoo Nam, Every scene with Suk Ho, and most scenes with Kwi Nam (but not all b/c he was a real weak mamas boy) :/
But overall, I enjoyed this story much more than 'First Love' as this one had an interesting storyline and good characters that you felt sympathy for, or loved watching. and at least 1 or 2 of your ships sailed ^_^ Especially the most important one ;)
I would have fallen head over heels in love with Suk Ho if he pursued me like he did Hoo Nam ❤️ I enjoyed watching his pursuit of her - he was so relentless and sincere in his pursuit that it always put a smile on my face ❤️ Hoo Nam could be frustrating as she constantly seemed to go and then pull back (it didn't help that I couldn't understand most of the dialog as I watched it raw - I could only understand intonation (questions, positives, negatives and a few words and phrases throughout lol - most of the things that were said I couldn't understand - so I could only grasp the gist of what they were talking about)). But every scene with this couple had me smiling and made me be able to complete such a long drama without subs lol
I never liked the mother or the father (the mother was such a biased person - who only showed love for boys (which is so ridiculous since she's a girl herself)) So every scene with her made me angry - not to mention every time she talked to Kwi Nam she talked as if she was coddling a baby or little child -_- so irritating - he's a grown man woman (even if he's a poor example of one).
Kwi Nam is not the kind of guy I'd ever date or for sure marry - No Way. Now Suk Ho on the other hand - a Big YES!!! I'd accept a guy like that in a heartbeat ;)
Mi Hyun was Hoo Nam's best friend (starting as pen pals) but except for the earlier episodes - she was a boring and very very confusing character. (so somewhere in the middle of the drama I started skipping most of her scenes).
But if you can understand Korean (much more than I do) then I'd recommend this (with skip watching the frustrating or irritable characters lol) as it's a relatively good drama for 1992 and I'm sure you'll enjoy Hoo Nam and Suk Ho's characters as much as I did ❤️
Lol, this drama is literally a HUGE advertisement for 7Eleven's - they constantly went there to "buy" things and they showed every item they looked at - showed them ring it up and at times showed them eat there - besides showing the sign when they walked out lol - Hilarious!
This is a very repetitive drama and the story line just seems to drag on and on going around the same things over and over again :/ It would have been a decent 10 or 12 episode drama but 24 episodes just plain ruined what it could have been. You'll be annoyed at all the characters. The only thing decent is the OST.
Both leads drift apart due to differences in opinions (even though they still love each other) - the woman starts admiring and looking at another man while the husband is being pulled aside by a nurse who likes him - either way you look at it both leads had wandering hearts and I didn't approve of either of their actions (even though neither got physical or too emotionally involved)... The nurse was the most annoying person - thinking she was doing NOTHING wrong to look at and covet a married man -_- She needs to be re educated. Liking someone CAN be a sin if its liking someone else' mate. Other than that there was constant bickering of the mothers in this drama - b/c one mothers daughter and one mothers son wanted to get married (that goes on and on until the end of the drama).
Ugh, what a crappy ending! >_< The people I wanted together did not end up together b/c of this horrible crappy "First Love" pathetic junk they threw at our faces throughout the entire drama >_< Seriously, the only reason this was rated high was b/c of peoples hopes for a good ending and the fact that there wasn't much else on TV at the time it aired -_- I'm SO disappointed with the ending of this drama - Their so called "love" was the absolute worst thing in this drama (and it was the main focus of the drama - even the stupid title) - their love was POISON plain and simple and yet whoever made this glorified it as the most high possession - Seriously come on! I hated seeing them together and I hated the main girl more than anything (she had no common sense!) "Our love will stand the test of time - we'll prove it OPPA" - give me a bucket please! They could both go drown in the ocean for all I care -_- Gosh, I hate it when dramas make me watch the entire thing only to wind up irritated beyond belief at the ridiculousness of the story! So much time wasted!!! I admit, I ended up only watching this for Bae Joon Young's character 'Chan Woo' but his story was left open ended which I didn't like either. The lead characters (the 2 main ones) were completely insane! I can't dish enough dirt out about this! Who in their right mind would continue loving someone (uncontrollably) when the persons entire family was out to slaughter you?! and not only that but wrecked havoc on your entire families lives more than once and beat your brother to a pulp on multiple occasions - and yet you still have the gall to "love" that person?! Makes me want to puke!
I think the writer forgot the fact that "first loves never last" never work! It would have been best if they had gone that route instead of the terrible one they went with.
My rating is only for Bae Joon Young's character 'Chan Woo', Choi Ji Woo as 'Suk Hee' and Kim Tae Woo as 'Hyung Ki' - as they were the characters I enjoyed watching from beginning to end. - everyone else gets a below 0 rating.
Thanky did'nt know her except in Still, marry me ! Here when I watch it... http://www1.dramanice.to/drama/the-woman-who-still-wants-to-marry--detail…
Thanks, but that drama isn't the right one - the one I'm looking for has a similar title but was made in 2004 not 2010 - the cast and storyline is different ^^
Lol, this evil lady's name in this drama is Sa Gui Jeong and I can't help but relate it to the Korean word for Scam or Scammer whenever I hear it lol - It sounds close to it even if the meaning is different lol - I wonder if the writers did this on purpose? XD So when she says her name I admit I crack up a little inside with laughter XD

My second lead syndrome in this drama is still going strong lol - Seriously I love this guy ❤️ I really wish he was the main lead. The lead guy can make me laugh at the weird strange things he does but I'm not interested in him (and overall his whole personality isn't my "style") and I don't ship him with the lead girl - I'd prefer him to find another girl (that's not the witch) and let the lead girl be with my cutie pie here (who is totally my "style" through and through).
OST - my favorite from this drama - I looked for it a long time ago when I watched this the first time but only found it now after hearing it again in the drama ;)
