Taxian Jun almost involved in every warning tags on the novel. If censorship will nitpick, it was his role that will be affected the most. However, 2ha will not be 2ha without his iconic redemption arc. Mo-zongshi will not be who he is without learning from TXJ's mistakes. I'm already skeptical in this adapation not to mention the waiting was getting on my nerves already. Among all the rumors, I don't know what to believe anymore.
HOB and even MDZS are painful as heck in revelation chapters. There are parts that twist your heart. In Erha... let just say the knives are hidden after a short fluff moments. The iconic lines will remain in your head for a long time. Little things like Wontons... will wreck you. Tears are guaranteed, and book 3 will make your head spin. But don't let it discourage you. No exaggeration, Erha change my view in danmeis like no other. Take a leap of faith, dear. You'll come out a different person together with Mo Ran at the end of it.

I've read a recent review of the novel which still branded Mo Ran as a rapist even after completing the book. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, but I'm pretty sure they are the people that are gonna campaign that the drama is better than the book for it doesn't feature RanWan's romance.
Did they miss the Long-hatred flower arc? The concept of the souls? The real reason why TXJ has done what he did? If Mo Ran didn't make that sacrifice it should have been Chu Wanning. This is not science fiction but a Xianxia one. Not everything can rely on logic. The characters are gray ones that were driven by emotions and circumstances. If you just skim read the entire 311 chapters and didn't understand the entire plot of the book then that kind of review doesn't give justice to the author's creation.
Ugggh... I know I just have to ignore for haters gonna hate no matter what. Yet I know these people will cause drama and issues once HYX airs.

Oh yeah. Don't get me started. There are already people like that even when the drama is not yet airing. Those who read book 1 and then labeled it as toxic. And those who reached book 2 and says it is a typical redemption arc, then just drop the book while ranting. I wanted to slap them book 3 and tell them to learn how to finish a book before blabbering nonesense.
I actually don't get how some people kept on trying to find season 1 inside the season 2. People can't expect the same iconic 'turn around' Type scene when he learns from Techno that Tharn is gay, right? The thrilling first TharnType confrontation about Type's homophobia. The guessing game on who will back down and leave. The tsundere Type who is still under his identity crisis stage.
The mentioned scenes above are some of the few reasons why the first episodes in Season 1 caught the audience at first view. But if we are trying to watch the Season 2 expecting to see something like this, you will really bound to be disappointed.
Episode 1-2 (even episode 3) of Season 2 are the scenes behind the veil of a long time couple who's life revolves around domestic life that appears to be married (ceremony and rings aside). I know reality is boring that's why we watch movies. But the series wants us to feel something real. The life behind a real-life couple of 7 years who's arguing over a petty ironing. If it appears boring watching 2 middle-aged guys cuddling without reason just because they feel like it and trying to cook for a lover, then it means Mew and Gulf are doing a perfect job in portraying their respective roles. Because that what is expected of them. They have to exude the ambiance of domestic bliss.
The angst everyone is waiting for is about to come. The background of what happened throughout the 7 years of being together is finally laid out and almost all the side characters (from season 1 and new ones) were introduced already. Even the side couples' plot stories were hinted for us. The upcoming conflicts were already built up at the very beggining of the sequel.
Did people already expected a drama like Fiat going in between TT in the very first episode when he was just about to be introduced?
How could we expect to know the story if we will not be introduced to it? Seven years is a long time. A lot of things changed and a lot of things also remain the same.
When Tharn and Type fight about small normal couple arguments in the first few episodes of Season 2, people complain that they never grew up. But some also complain that the sequel is boring when Season 1 first episodes are 80% consist of TT fighting and hurting each other. What's wrong with people? I don't know what plot they really wanted for this season.
