Maybe look into the film called "The Birth of a Nation" and how the things presented in it completely changes public understanding of reality and racial ideas. And this "mentally disabled person=murderous/creep/weirdo" is in every single kdrama of crime type story. They are pushing this and it's why support for diabilities and mental illness is so awful in South Korea.

I don't see why you think that changes anything. They've still set the assumption that people with disabilities= murderous creeps, as korean dramas love to push. Maybe pay attention to this in future dramas and you can come to realize how prevalent and harmful it is.

It literally does not matter that he is faking, jfc. They are still propagating the assumption that people with mental disabilities are murderous/rapist/creeps by nature. Stop making excuses.

This isn't the way it works at all. Nearly every crime drama, the murderer ends up being someone with mental disabilities. How do you think this changes public perception? If it was all black people, or all old women, it would set idea of what those people are like for people who don't know them. Your response to me shows you have no experience with this and are viewing it from an outsider perspective, you literally have no idea how harmful it is so how can you talk about it not being so?

I saw it won an award for best drama so I tried it. I think it's alright. but sorry, the "twist" of the serial killer being a shy stuttering type guy is so harmful to people with these disabilities and this show is trash for continuing that.

SBS really fucked up by cancelling Joseon Exorcist. They set an incredibly bad precedent that any small number of angry right wingers can have something cancelled for existing, even when clearly labelled as fiction. South Korea has been on a rocky path with Right Wing extremism and it's only getting worse.
