Dong Ah (Eun Jae's bff) has to be one of the most interesting and quirky characters I've ever seen. And I must admit that I adore her character and wish more dramas stepped out of the standard "main character's friend" archetype.
How everyone takes the battery out of their phone intead of just turning it off. What the heck? What if you lose the battery? I know you don't want to talk, but unless it's someone with the resources to track your phone, pulling the battery is just overkill.
Happiness for Sale aka Mi Rae' Stationary Store was a pretty special movie. A lot of people overlooked it because it's a slow starting slice-of-life. It was pretty hilarious in spots through.
I totally agree with the waste of talent award. Choi Jin Hyuk was the best part of Gu Family Book and I was so dissapointed that his part in Heirs wasn't better written. Though I'm really surprised that Park Shin Hye and Yoon Si Yoon didn't win for best couple. Or at least funniest couple;)
He was my favorite character in both Faith and Secret Garden. His attention to detail makes the characters a pleasure to watch. I hope he gets a bigger role in his next project.
I had the same thoughts for Personal Taste. What kind of idiot doesn't use shatter-proof glass or plexi-glass for that kind of thing? If you think about it, the couch was on top of it too, so it had to hold their weight, but a little 3 lbs. weight breaks it?
You're a little taken with Lee Min Ho, aren't you? Not just the number of almost-kisses you listed, but the descriptions for his are much more scintillating.
That being said, I totally agree. Especially about Faith, though I think her calling him “Daejang” was second in his mind to her saying she was going to sleep in his room. "You're staying where now?!" She looked dang cute in that armor too. I was sad that they never got a real honest-to-god just-for-them kiss. CPR, and getting her out of a forced marriage don't count.
Wang Jasil, the second queen in Ja Myung Go, literately stabs her rival's baby in the heart. Then, when she discovers…
You should, it's a great show! It's one of my favorites, right up there with Hua Mulan and Faith.
You'll also recognize the princess's mothers. The first wife(the nice one) played Jang Guen Suk's mom in You're Beautiful, and the second wife(the murdering one) played Yoon Ah's mom in Love Rain.
Wang Jasil, the second queen in Ja Myung Go, literately stabs her rival's baby in the heart. Then, when she discovers that the baby survived, she spends the next 20 year trying to finish her off. She says she's did it all to protect her daughter, who unfortunately takes after her, but really? If she hadn't been trying so hard to kill her, the kid never would have found out she was a princess. Counter-productive much?
What about the fashion show Jun's mom held in Love Rain? Those clothes looked like they were either designed by an 8 year old or stolen from Rainbow Brite's closet.
U ppl have no idea how many times, some lead chick is smacked across the face or gets her hair pulled, & I…
I don't know. I think most people wouldn't call the cops over a slap. I'd just slap them back. If it was a serious fight, then yes, totally call the cops. Besides, do you really want your private life becoming a matter of public record?
Once again the comment is too long, so I'll post it in two parts: PART I I haven't watched all those dramas above,…
In Secret Garden, it'd actually be pretty easy to get her out of the hospital. No matter how well staffed they can't watch you all the time. I can speak from experience that, unless you need tests or meds, the nurse's only check on you once every 20-40 min. It would be easy for him to scoop her up, put her in a wheel chair, and just walk out.
It's more him driving into the storm knowing that he's going to pass out once they swap that bothers me. What if they accident had been more serious? He seriously could have stopped just shy of the storm and waited for the rain to come to them. Seriously. Are you trying to save her or kill her?
In "Full House" Ji Eun's friends sell her house, empty her bank account, and leave her stranded in a foreign country. When she gets home she finds that she's penniless, homeless, and that the only possessions she has left are the ones she took with her to China. I don't care how good of a friend you are, if you do that to me, you should get a lawyer.
More to the point, how was that even possible? There have been several dramas where a character uses someone else's property like this. In "Personal Taste" Gae In's friend uses her father's house as collateral to guarantee a loan. Do banks in Korea not check the name on the ID against the name on the deed? How can they legally take someones house, when they have no connection to the original loan?
Makes a Woman Cry sounds like they took the plot of Happiness for Sale (Mi Na's Stationary Shop) and threw in a bunch of death and betrayal.
