In simple terms, in fact, it is a film adaptation of the manga.. But in reality, if you look at the final product, the screenwriter's mockery can hardly be called a manga adaptation. Let me explain. In Japan, multi-volume works are often adapted into films extremely poorly. The screenwriter literally takes a multi-volume manga and rewrites it, completely losing the essence of the work, changing important facts, events, and even altering the characters' personalities. That's why manga artists aren't particularly happy when their manga gets adapted into a film. Inoue Sato also wasn't happy either. But she was lucky because the team working on the adaptation listened to the author's opinion (this is a great rarity). And they adapt the manga well, even if they throw out a lot of things. But if they had adapted it strictly according to the manga, we would have had at least two films with this hot couple.

This isn't a manga adaptation judging by the trailer. Judging by the trailer, this is a script based on the manga, not an adaptation. The manga itself isn't finished yet. The trailer, however, is supposed to show us a fictional ending.
