She's wearing beautiful costumes this week. I haven't seen you around here, but I saw you in The Glory . The drama…
Here’s Dudu dedicated poem to make up for my absence lately.
Dudu's buns, a hair-raising feat, Two perfect domes, oh so sweet! A bun-derful sight, a cosmic art, They've bun-ished all doubt, right from the start!
These bun-dles of joy, a hair-itage grand, A bun-anza of beauty, across the land! My heart's in a bun-ch, I must confess, For Dudu's hair, is pure bun-believable-ness!
She's wearing beautiful costumes this week. I haven't seen you around here, but I saw you in The Glory . The drama…
Yes, I've definitely spotted those different dynasty looks, and honestly, both of them girls are absolutely glowing!
Haha you notice?😊💖 I've been so focused on my proposal examinations lately, and trying to promote 'The Glory' at the same time. I've noticed you in the comments there too, haha. And you're so right, it's incredibly rewarding to see Dudu's new drama doing so well, especially considering all the hurdles it faced before release. Super proud and grateful for all the love the glory has received💖
OH. MY. GOSH. WU WANGYAN! Those double side buns? Those floral hair ornaments? I'M. DEAD. DEAD. GONE. She looks absolutely divine, like a literal vision! It's the perfect look for her, I can't even! 😭
I've been drowning in uni work, and you know I've been living and breathing and promoting Zhuang Hanyan jiejie lately (Dudu’s New Drama The Glory Please watch very recommended on WeTv), but I HAD to take a moment. HAD TO. This Wu Wangyan styling? It's everything I've ever wanted, and I'm just bursting with excitement. I had to share this level of pure, unadulterated joy with someone, anyone! Huhu!
Like just go and find those presence in other dramas. 🤦♀️No need to come to what you don’t like. It’s…
I actually love reading what everyone thinks, good or bad, about Dudu's acting. I think she'd want to hear it too. But this whole 'star presence' thing? I'm not really bothered, just find it kind of amusing. Like, who decided they're the expert on who has it and who doesn't? Lol💖
One of the big reasons she attracts my attention so much is that she plays every role possible. Most actresses…
Yes, exactly! That's why I admire her so much. She never looks down on any role, and approaches every character with such open-mindedness, like she's genuinely curious to see what she can bring to it. And that's why we get to see her play so many different kinds of characters. It's really special.
It makes me a little sad that a lot of people still only think of her as Ye Binchang. They don't realize how many other amazing performances she's given. There's just so much more to her, and I wish more people could see that.
All this elusive talks about the actor’s 'star presence' this, 'star presence' that.. if you want something concrete to talk to, try a wall! Or, you know, the Yunhe data if you are idle and have time to do calculations😊
To those who've confidently declared Chen Duling is 'only suited for supporting roles,' I find your pronouncements both presumptuous and frankly, quite demeaning. It seems you've appointed yourselves arbiters of talent, conveniently ignoring the fact that actual professionals—the directors and casting teams—disagree with your assessments.
It's rather amusing to see such definitive statements about an actor's limitations, especially when those making them often lack the very industry insight they so confidently wield. The fact that professionals, who presumably possess a keener eye than casual viewers, have placed her in a leading role, and the drama has achieved an impressive 28k heat index on Tencent, the fastest for a 2025 release, suggests your 'expertise' might be somewhat... misplaced.
Who, indeed, are we to dismiss the judgment of those with the skills and experience to evaluate talent, especially when their track record speaks for itself? While opinions are, of course, welcome, perhaps a touch more humility and a dash less unfounded certainty would be beneficial. Idle negativity, particularly when it attempts to confine an artist's potential, simply reveals more about the speaker than the subject.
Trying so hard to be mysterious with the soundtrack, slow motions, dialogue, music, sound effects etc. Every damn…
It's interesting to see such strong opinions about the drama's style and casting. While I respect your perspective, I find it a bit dismissive to say it's 'trying too hard.' Every production has its own artistic vision, and what might seem like 'trying' to one person could be another's engaging storytelling.
Regarding Chen Duling, saying she 'has zero star power' and is 'only suited for supporting roles' feels incredibly limiting and unfair. To suggest someone's potential is capped based on your personal opinion seems rather presumptuous. Perhaps instead of making definitive statements, we could appreciate the effort she puts into her performances. If you're unconvinced, I encourage you to explore her other works. It's odd to declare her unfit for a lead role when the directors, who are professionals, clearly saw her potential. And let's not forget, this drama has reached a remarkable 28k heat index on Tencent, the fastest for a 2025 release. That speaks for itself.
As for the male lead, comparisons to other characters are inevitable, but it's important to judge him on his own merits. Each actor brings a unique interpretation to their role.
Ultimately, if you find the drama so unappealing, especially the leads, it begs the question of why you're still watching. I understand having opinions, but consistently watching something you dislike seems counterproductive. It's fine to have preferences, but labeling an entire group of viewers as easily swayed simply because they started watching in 2023 comes across as condescending. Let's appreciate the work for what it is, and if it's not for you, that's perfectly fine. But constant negativity isn't exactly a constructive way to engage with a show.
Hello everyone! I've been following 'The Glory' closely, and I've noticed we're nearing a really exciting milestone on WeTV/Tencent. The show's heat index is currently at 28k, and if we can collectively reach 30k, they've mentioned they'll film a special short movie, and we, as viewers, get to choose the theme! 💖
The target for tonight is 29k but we can collectively push it to 30k together💖
This is a wonderful opportunity to show our appreciation for the hard work of the cast and crew, and to potentially see some extra content that we'd love. If you're a fan of 'The Glory' and you're interested in supporting the show, sending in-app gifts to the characters on WeTV/Tencent is a way to contribute to that heat index. Every little bit counts.
I understand everyone has their own way of enjoying the show, and there's absolutely no obligation to participate. However, if you're looking for a way to express your enthusiasm and possibly influence the creation of bonus content, this is a great chance to do so. Let's see if we can work together to reach that 30k goal!💖💖
Good God! Honestly, it's such a breath of fresh air to see a female lead who isn't a perfect, all-knowing 'Mary Sue' with some kind of 'God's eye view' of every situation to portray the character as smart. Hanyan's intelligence shines through, but what truly resonates is her humanity, her very real flaws. Her deep-seated longing for familial love, a desire born from years of deprivation, is such a powerful motivator. She even admits to grappling with feelings of greed and selfishness in her pursuit of that love.
It's this vulnerability, this acknowledgment of her own imperfections, that makes her choices, even the questionable ones, feel so grounded and understandable. We see the clear, logical connection between her past experiences and her present actions—unlike those characters whose intelligence seemingly vanishes for the sake of plot convenience or those who always have some kind of omniscient perspective.
And, dare I say it, a part of me hopes Hanyan faces some serious consequences for her decisions. I'm craving more of those intense, emotionally charged angst moments that make a drama truly unforgettable. Give me all the angst!
Oh my goodness, I just realized we've reached 2000 comments! Thank you to everyone for your feedback, both positive and negative. I'm truly grateful that you've all taken the time to engage with this drama and share your thoughts. So Happy that Dudu finally are receiving the support and recognition she deserves🥺💖🥺💖.
