Things I look for: stories that are interesting but also genuine and deep — more than just a fun watch; screenplays that are captivating and well-thought-out; and directing that is thoughtful and unique. 

Genres/themes of interest: slice of life, family, drama, food.

Rating Scale (Subjective):

8.0 – Promising but not engaging enough to continue (or not my cup of tea)

8.5 – Engaging and enjoyable throughout

9.0 – Memorable and unique; one of a kind

9.5 – Leaves a lasting impression; deeply moving

10 – Hold a special place in my heart
