Excellent drama and strong acting
The Legend of Zang Hai caught my attention from the very start mainly because of Xiao Zhan and he truly delivered a performance worth watching.Xiao Zhan’s expressions and the way he delivers his lines made me feel connected to the character and even in slow scenes, I stayed interested because of him. It’s clear he put a lot of effort into bringing Zang Hai to life and his acting alone is a big reason why I kept watching.
The production is also beautiful. From the detailed costumes to the grand set designs and the music that fits each moment, it feels like you’re stepping into another time. The first half of the drama is especially exciting full of mystery, action and political intrigue that keeps you guessing what will happen next.
The relationships between the characters especially the way Zang Hai interacts with friends and enemies add more depth to the story.
Xiao Zhan’s performance carries the drama all the way through. Even when the story slows down or the plot gets a bit shaky, his acting keeps it engaging. For me, The Legend of Zang Hai is worth watching just to see how he transforms into Zang Hai and makes the character truly remarkable.
