I am agree how they explain about other PGH be one of plot hole.Or how they not show us what happen after PGH…
I also love how Sun Jae and Jae Yi become all sweet once they know who is Kwang Ho. Personally, I liked their characters from the start even if Sun Jae was acting like a jerk and Jae Yi like a weirdo because I feel like there were more to their characters, like they were not acting that way because they wanted to but more in order to protect themselves. Also it shows of much people are more cold 30 years later because at the time of Kwang Ho people were more social than now. Kwang Ho has also has bad flaws too like how he is not open minded about psychology or women doing something else than cooking and cleaning for example.
It is true I felt a bit dissapointed by how they explained the other Kwang Ho...The story is nice (he saved a pregnant woman and she decided to name her son Kwang Ho like him because they have already the same last name) but somehow I wanted more. However I also think perhaps it was for the good it was not the case because that could have been spoiled by an unnecessary use of the time travel. In my opinion and for example the episode where Kwang Ho returns to the past trying to catch the killer but failed was unnecessary (except perhaps to shows how new memories work ?) so I am afraid they would have messed up a lot it they have took the path of a more complicated story. Also, is it me or I felt like they tried to do something with the taxi driver and his father (because Kwang Ho started to work with the father) and then suddently the journalist decided to just drop out ? It felt kind of weird and I wonder if there was not a problem with the actor.
Also yeah totally I wanted to see more moment about the "new" past ! I think, obviously Kwang Ho catched the culprit again in the past because I can not imagine him ignoring the serial killer especially with his personality. I wanted to see HIM catching the serial killer, HIM announcing the new to the victim's love ones, to see more moments between Kwang Ho's family and Sun Jae's family and of course a sort of fast forward 30 years later to see how they are all doing.
It is really a shame because there were so much meaninful and funny moments to show ! For example :Kwang Ho's chief and Seong Shik being moved by Kwang Ho's return, Kwang Ho reconforting Seong Shik in the past about how he will surely become a great chief one day, the journalist revealing that he will have a son (I imagine him showing a photo lol) to Kwang Ho and Kwang Ho making a joke on it like "your son will be a copy past of you", Sun Jae - Jae Yi doing a lot of things together in the past and the future Sun Jae- Jae Yi remember new memories little by little, and so on
I wish there was one full episode focused on the change of the past.
By second couple you means Seon Jae and Jae Yi ? If so I think it is a good ending for them because they will be together in the "previous" future timeline and little by little will remember their "new" moments together in the past.
I feel like it is a drama really predicable ( I guessed everyone "true" identity ahead of time) but still enjoyable. The big mistake to me was to reveal the vilain too soon to the good guys. I also feel like they should have continue to investigated little cases because it is typicaly the problem where "the good guys know who is the bad guy but can't catch him because they must wait the last episode " Also they made most of the characters dumb (but not in a good way) in the second half lol
finally I would have enjoyed to see more of the past being changed : Moments between Park Kwang Ho's family -Sun Jae's family (we had a little moment with little sun Jae coming playing with Jae Yi but it was not enough ! ), how Park Kwang Ho catch the serial killer again in the past, how he reveal it to the victim's families and perhaps some fast forward 30 years later to see how each main characters end up ?
English is not my mother tongue so it is really interesting how some translation can end up meaning something…
A title I love a lot is "My love from the Star" or "You who came from the Stars" because it refers to the stars "a fixed luminous point in the night sky" (so the ML) and the Stars "famous people" (so the FL)
English is not my mother tongue so it is really interesting how some translation can end up meaning something else. Remind me of a case in Detective Conan, I saw a long time ago but I still remember it, where a woman killed herself because her lover wanted to write that he loves her but instead wrote "I want you dead " by mistake. The poor dude was just trying to write in japanese 😂
oh wow XD lol that last part got me i actually laughed out loud at the extreme absurdness kdrama wrıters go...…
Hum if I remember corretly, she ends up with no one in the actual time loop we are seeing all along the drama (she tried with the second male lead but finally broke up in good term and she made it clear to the first male lead he lost his chance with her because he treated her like a jerk).
When the time loop reset at the end of the drama, Han Gyeol decide to not treat her like a jerk because he is in love. He literraly think "I will love you first this time" and we know the FL is in love with him at the start so they surely end up together but off screen.
Yeah just like any new employee lol RyunGoo revealed that even GooRyeon was like him when she started working…
I felt like that in the first episodes...Now I feel like it is okay. Also, I don't mind reckless characters if their purposes are good and if there is, at least, one other character more "grounded" to save his ass in the end 😂
So I was not into it the first episodes but episodes 6, 7 and 8 were great. I finally warm up to the characters.…
For a second, I really thought Joon Woong would quit the crisis management team and join Joong Gil's team. Joon Gil noticed how Joon Woong had for a short time the same way of thinking : how some people don't deserve to be saved and the way Joong gil looked at Joon Woong like he felt some kind of similarity ?
So I was not into it the first episodes but episodes 6, 7 and 8 were great. I finally warm up to the characters. I feel like the trio of the crisis management team get, at last, a lot closer (especially in episode 8). The epilogue moments are always funny.
I know this is just a details but come on they travel back in time but don't think about changing their clothes ? I suppose people just see a fake image of them but still...
Also they are interfering a lot when it was not necessary especially after Jade Hwang said that even a little change in the past can have bad consequences... So perhaps they will save the father but at what cost ?
Remind me of Mystic Pop Up bar and somehow I think the link will be the same : Joon Woong is perhaps Goo Ryun's son reincarnated ?
I don't really like the appoach of Goo Ryun when she is handling suicidal people except perhaps when she took revenge on the bullies, hope her way of doing things will change.
I can’t really get into it to…it seems like a drama I would recommend to people but one that I wouldn’t…
Yes, somehow the timing is off ? And also some narrative aspects seem odd to me.
It is really little silly things that are bothering me like for example how Hee Woo was speaking about himself at the beginning (talking about how he was righteous and all), it gave the opposite vibes somehow...Often righteous people don't talk about themselves like that. I wonder why it bothers me so much because I already saw that kind of introduction in other dramas, for example the clumsy girl in a romantic drama talking about how clumsy she is in her everyday tasks.
I don't know what to think about this drama, I think it is good but oddly I can't get into it. Perhaps a bit too fast paced in my taste (especially because I read a bit of the original story and there were more moments between some characters). I only watched two episodes for now so it is a bit soon to decide. I feel like the vilains are not interesting enough, on the contrary good guys or in-between are interesting but don't have enough screentime or it is really fast paced.
I especially find Lee Min Soo interesting, I hope he is a good guy because obviously he seems to know things from the future. Well there is a higher chance of course he is a hidden villain but I am still wishing he is perhaps a random guy ML helped in his past life like how he helped the grandma with her gimbap (+ you can't remember everyone anyways especially if he only saw him once).
yes, Kwon Shi Woo is the serial killer who targets wealthy women while the original story arbitrarily killed the…
Shi Woo and Tae Jin (the stranger who is in fact a contract killer) made a bet/game between them about if Ho Chul can kill Shi Woo or not in less than a day. Tae Jin happened to learn Shi Woo identity when some of his targets were killed by him and was pissed of by it so he confronted him. When Tae Jin was on the verge of killing Shi Woo, Shi Woo proposed a lot of money(in the webtoon Tae Jin is a really money centered guy) in exchange of a contract between them. In the webtoon Ho Chul was not a witness at all and just one of Shi Woo's neighbour and we learn at the end that Ho Chul just happened to be in the wrong place/wrong time when they choose him (they were literrally talking about who would they choose for the bet and he happened to come and talk to them -without knowing what they were talking about-). The story was about the meaning of being superior and how a little thing can change someone life (some kind of butterfly effect, for example Shi Woo killed his first person by accident when he tried to save this person and he realised that he felt no shame).
I don't know if it will be the same reason in the drama though because they changed a lot of things...What I liked, at the end, is how Ho Chul said to Shi Woo there are other way to feel superior : like saving people.
I don't know how to feel about the differences because there are some good ideas but there are also some bad in…
Ho chul is just an ordinary guy in the webtoon and that was the point of the story for him to live an unusual day. It was more focused on how Ho Chul is a kind hearted person compared to the serial killer and the stranger...
Girl if he did the lip bite blood shit to me I’d be out of that apartment so quick his head would spin clean…
It is really funny how Soo Ah has bad vibes about him (how she was uneasy in front of him with her father) and then this scene but she still acts like nothing happened. What is truly "scary" is that, of course, that kind of things happen IRL A piece of advice: If someone makes you feel uncomfortable or if you feel something is not right then don't continue to see that person even if you feel bad to be a party pooper based only on feelings and not physical proofs... A lot of lifes could be saved if people trusted more their instincs and would set boundaries properly.
I don't know how to feel about the differences because there are some good ideas but there are also some bad in…
I really hope they keep the "hand of the girl doing the middle finger" to Tae Jin but I think it would be a miracle ! Yes it was definitively the charm of the webtoon.
I feel like they changed their jobs to make it more "thrilling " I guess .But yeah I understand what you means it was the main point of the story for him to be ordinary (I don't remember about his job in the webtoon I thought he was a salaryman or something like that)...Also seem like Tae Jin will be a big shot the way he is portrayed with a suit but perhaps I am mistaken but if that is the case it is really not like in the webtoon : The bit of intel I understood he lived a poor life and that is why he was so obsess with money and took the wrong path in life. I think in the webtoon he was not poor but he was not rich at the same time and was gathering money (perhaps just for himself but I also think it was for his family there was a hint at the end when his boss sent the money to his parents ? ).
The part I really want them to add in the drama is the explanation of the title. How to becomes "superior" with Ho Chul teaching a good lesson to both killers... But I have a strong feeling it will not be the case.
Yes this is only the first episode after all and frankly when I know the original story I always wants to compare everything haha I know it is a bad thing to do because of course it will not be the same (and thinking about this it is perhaps not a bad thing to try something else). Wonder where is the toolbox indeed ^^
Yes, this is where I'm at right now. 48 minutes in and I'm beyond frustrated. Everything you said was exactly…
I think, at least, the end healed a bit the frustration...What do you think ? I especially liked how Kyung Mi gave him the middle finger. I think this movies is only worth of your time if you like the actors and appreciate their acting. However I really don't know sometimes if I like or not when they make a character dumb suddently (especially if the character about is represented smart) for the sake of a dramatic moment. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work...
