Same here. I was expecting a last face to face with Professor Mok and Kwang ho into the tunnel. After all he knew that Kwang Ho could travel back in time, it amazes me that he was not trying to sabotage him using the tunnel as bait or something... Or he could have accused him of murdering the "another" Park Kwang Ho?
I feel that the last episodes were a bit meaningless : Sun Jae accept the chessboard piece without asking any questions, Jae Yi gets kidnapped in front of the university without anybody notice (what ?), Min Ah and Tae Hee lost the real Mok Jin Woo without noticing seriously !? I hate when the characters become silly for the sake of the scenario.
If I understood correctly the end, Kwang Ho returns to the past then the future will change so he will be the only one to remember everything that happened until now... It is selfish to say that but I would have preferred Kwang Ho to stay in 2017 with Sun Jae, his adult daughter and other. They all hurt me so much in the end... especially our Maknae and Yeon Ho who said "Dad" when he turn his back ---> right in the feel, i was like "no don't say that NOW, it makes me even more hate his choice " and when i see Kwang ho hesitated after she called him like that i was "YES, STAY, don't leave them alone ! Good girl." but he takes the tunnel again ( -_-.)
Anyway, all these blah blah to say that I have become too attached to the characters but to be honest if I compare with the other dramas I have watched the end is not so bad !
Yep but i find it is really a true gemme romance ! Romance is not exaggerated like some dramas and we can seriously feel they love without they said a word. The way Sun Jae and Jae Yi look at each other, their faces " light up" ! And I will not even talk about the love between Kwang Ho and his wife that I just found perfect. Even me who is not usually a fan of romance, i love it !
I think it is important to remember Tunnel for the best evolution of the characters and the great Fathermance/(?) bromance ! This is my favorite drama because there is all that I like in it (action, supernatural, really endearing and evolving character, comedy, suspense) but yet I must say objectively it is not the best Best Action / Thriller / Suspense Drama of 2017 because I think the story was pretty predictable and other drama are much more thoughtful as JoanneSmith said earlier Defendant for example but i am still glad to see Tunnel on the list !
Prison Playbook : Best characters of early 2018 ?<3 Chief Kim : Best comedy drama of 2017 seriously !
Looney had stepfather?? I thought it was his real father all along... @_@ yea I only watched the raws and I don't…
Which makes me think that it is his father-in-law :
-Looney talks a lot about his mother but almost not about his father, which makes me think they are not that close. - During a flashback of his childhood, the father does not appear once and Looney said that his family was very poor. Which suggests to me that the mother was the only one in charge of the child for a certain reason. -In an episode where the mother cries, we see family photo but Looney does not appear on it and it seem there are another young men (a brother-in-law?)
Which makes me think that his father is not as benevolent as one might think :
-The curly guy know when Looney will be decharge, how ? - The father reveal "inadvertently" that the mother was the one who report him strangely a few days before his release. How could he make such a mistake? Especially if the wife told him to be quiet. -Cops come right after Looney takes the drugs and one last guy comes and says "good job" to the curly haired guy (trap for Looney ?) - Why would he do that? : If i am right, he would be after the fortune of the mother.
But I think I have too much imagination and I see the pain everywhere. Especially since I am in denial, I am looking for an excuse for Looney ... I think the curly hair just found his perfect client : Looney is rich and dependent. Maybe he just has an informant in the prison?
It is hard to say. In any case I find that the humor is subtle enough to not hurt anyone and the topics are quite varied. This is the kind of humour that shows both the good and the bad sides of humans.
I think the funniest moment is the passage where Je Hyuk has to make a graph of his life, I could not stop laughing. The humor in this drama is so well found and it improves with each episode. Bromance too is getting better and better. The characters are so well built. It is almost too good to be true. This drama easily deserves a ten. I never thought I would say that one day because there is always something that bothers me most of the time in other drama. I hope the drama is not going to disappoint me for the end. We must always be wary when it is a black comedy, a moment everything is fine and the moment after it surprises you. But for now it is just good surprises and i hope it will continue until the end.
But am I the only one to think that Looney got trapped by his stepfather ? How the curly head know when he go out ? Or i seriously wish that it was not drugs (can be a test to see if he would keep his word? and perhaps the syringe contained just a kind of anesthesia or whatever)
What happened with this drama?Started out really good, but now I feel it's kinda dragging.
It is because of the format I think. Most drama slow down after the first episodes (after 1/4) and I think it is worse when it is a thirty minute drama of forty episodes.
The lead character gets beat up so many times. It’s hard for me to watch that especially when I see the hand…
I stopped watching since the brother's death. Agree that life is unfair but it was to much for me , I may continue when all the episodes are out but it does not seem to get better. Meanwhile, I'm going to watch Care Bears.
Yeah, it is one of the best drama I have seen. Hope the ending will not be to sad. I do not see any negative points for now, oh yes, be careful because it is black comedy and the humor can sometimes be subtle but i find it is not a problem because it is really good to see a drama that does not take its audience for morons. Glad to see an article on it. I hope this drama has a good audience !
IM SO DEVASTATED! Tbh I knew his death was coming given that theres always heartbreaking deaths in these types…
How to fix my heart ? I am still too naive and I plunged my head first in the episode without thinking for one second that he was going to die ... I thought Sam was going to find a solution. PLEASE, RESURRECT HIM ! I beg you...
Episode 13-14 : end of the bromance. NOOOOOOOOO, WHY !? He gave you back the money and he did everything you asked him. Why kill Ddak ji !? In addition he had an atrocious death ! Joon Sam survived several car accidents and several falls but his little brother dies in a car trunk !? Their bromance was so touching i can't handle this anymore...
But if Dong Tak had really scammed the young Soo Chang : why ? To steal the necklace ? I don't think so. More that Dong Tak would not keep the necklace constantly if that does not represent something for him : he seems to keep it as a lucky charm so for him it's a happy memory (because it's thanks to the boy that he changed). The first time that Soo Chang give him the necklace (in the stairs), i think Dong Tak did not take the boy seriously and he wanted to scam him but thanks to Soo Chang and Ji an's father he changed in the meantime and did not finally scam him. And i think it's the reason why there is a second moment when the young Soo Chang gives him the necklace again (at the hospital) and this time i think that Dong Tak really wanted to keep his word and find the culprit.
In my opinion, two possibilities
Either Dong Tak discovered the truth at the time but it was so horrible that he had keep the secret because he did not want to hurt the boy. What makes me think that ----> Ji an said at the episode 7 "There is something else. Something only the Detective Cha knows" i think she is referring to this old case because her father was investigating on this case (and he his the first truth adult that Dong Tak had meet). And the knife killer must also be connected to this old case and that is why he wants to kill Dong Tak and he blamed Soo Chang for his crime.
Or either it s a big misunderstood because Soo Chang don't recovers all his memory and Dong Tak was manipulated. What makes me think that ---> Dong Tak told at Ji an when she ask for a happy ending : "This tough kid must be leading a happy life now" he would never said that if he manipulated the boy. And also because at the end of episode 8, Dong Tak lets himself be possessed. Okay Soo Chang accidentally entered when the two of them "Bump into each other" when they want to save Ji an but that also means that Dong Tak give his approbation so he trusts Soo Chang
I have to bother you with my shitty theories but i love so much this drama that i can not help myself ... It seems to me an eternity before the next episode
So Chang and Dong Tak together are so enjoyable. Why do we need the cliché romantic interest? Let´s concentrate…
Me too i find the romance annoying. i love when Dong Tak and Soo Chan are together !! I hope that the romance part will not take over the bromance part. For now, it's okay.
To be honest even a few months after, it happens to me to watch the drama again
just to see all characters one more time.
