i've read a lot of discourse about the ending, but, apparently, my opinion is quite unpopular; i think this was the best case scenario that could've happened. i wasn't really in the boat of "id rather they both die" , so this seemed like a perfect wrap-up. i also don't think the father's "redemption" was unbelievable or sudden, as, even though he kept doing awful shit, he still verbally expressed that he didn't want Saenkaew to be judged by society, etc., he just got wrapped up in his own wishes more. i did have a tough time with Pin, lord knows i tried not to hate her too much, but even at the end, i couldn't let my distaste go, she did the honerable thing by keeping the marriage with Sarnkaew as that protected his family's assets, but her realization that "wow! these two men are really gay and actually love each other" was so stupid, it was in front of her the whole time.
but in general, this was one of the best BLs of 2025, I genuinely am sad to be parting with Pearl and Peak. they did an amazing job. <3
I dropped this BL at the 9th episode mark, and I have to say, I don't regret that. Something I've come to notice about Japanese BLs is that their "loser" characters are always so weird. :D
I love me a good ol' J-BL, trust, one of my favs is Minato Coin Laundry, but this one... IDK, the probability of a 40-year-old man acting the way Suzume acted makes me feel seriously weirded out, hah
'I will make sure you feel what i felt' for what reason? lol. yeah, the soul may be the same, but Khem ain't done shit to that woman. I'm genuinely sooo angry, and all these fuckass watchers sympathizing with her really makes me question, if we're all watching the same darn show, cause tf
i do have to say, as much as i love this show, i wish it had at least a little bit more of a hopeful tone. i don't mind sad endings, but dragging the viewers into an endless spiral of absolute travesty is so painful
last episode i thought i saw the father part of him come out, when he cried about him not wanting Sankaew to be misunderstood ect, but this episode... his greed sickens me just like Pin's. Pin had the potential to be one of the best characters ever written but her lack of critical thinking has made her a chess piece in thegame of "Let's torture Sankaew!" and the game is led by his father.
I cannot stomach ep 8... i'm 10 minutes in and i just have the unreal feeling of dread creeping up on me, and i just keep pausing and turning to do somethings else.
this drama will be the ENDDD of me. in the last fee years i've lost my tolerance for angst, apparently now i cannot handle any type of angst.
I truly hope Rampheung can let go of her pain and move on. Her actions lose all meaning to me once she starts inflicting pain and horror on people who do not deserve it. The backstory is horrid; we all knew that was going to be the case. However, the amount of evil and pain she has inflicted on people who had absolutely nothing to do with it shows that her rage has blinded her.
i absolutely adore this series, but, omg. i want to use all the swear words in my lexicon. everyone is so evil around them, the FUCKING selfishness radiating from the people around Saenkaew and Sasin is bordering on unbearable. I'm just seething angry at his father, god.
I think i'm gonna put this on hold and wait until all episodes come out, because if the whole thing is genuinely about a friendship between girls ending and having major conflicts because of a man, i'm not into that. Also, i'm getitng vibes that the end goal couple will be Yeongrye and Jaepil and that visual does not work for me hahaha
i think it's good, i don't agree with most people's opinion on it. it's very character driven and it's not fast action ect. If you don't go in with major expectations, you definitely won't be disappointed.
4th and 5th are pretty disappointing. Not going to spoil you. Just let you know what to expect.
idk, i after Phop's death i feel like Win just doesn't even believe that he can do anything to actually save anyone. For me, it looks like he's relishing in the moments he gets to have with these people, so I guess that's why i don't expect major action.

I suppose it's just a matter of personal preference. I really enjoy the relationships between the characters, and I particularly appreciate the scenes with Win and his family. I guess we just expect different things from a series, so for me the episodes weren't a disappointment. :)

I also don't get the culture of rating a series while it's still airing (unless you drop it because it's horrid)... :D
