another thing to note: even if the last two husbands were scammed, the first one DID get into cheating on her,…
Do Hae's family is inadvertently bringing the superpowers back to the family, I love it. Like the sister flew again when running on the treadmill all because Grace is there trying to get in the way of her getting married, pushing her over the edge of desperation. And I agree that Do Hae's family (although I am thinking they aren't actually blood relatives) definitely fits the bill of "Atypical."
Agreed. I feel like in the memory of the car accident right before it happened the daughter's eyes glowed light…
I am also wondering if maybe the mother's sadness/depression could be because she knows the burden of those powers and what they take on ML? So maybe when she sees her daughter has powers she intentionally crashed ? Grasping at straws on this one, I know lol.
idk why but i think the daughter has powers as well. And i think she already knows the identity of FL but since…
Agreed. I feel like in the memory of the car accident right before it happened the daughter's eyes glowed light blue and the mom saw it in the rear-view mirror. The mom was also acting strange. At first I was thinking she was unhappy, depressed, but maybe it was something more? I also think that when the FL talked about being saved in the past by someone that reminded her of him, it wasn't just her conning the ML. I think during the fire when she was in school that has left her traumatized, the ML while a fire fighter did save her. Now, if this is something he has already done or will do in the future (like with the hand holding), idk. I know the day his daughter was born there is that fire in the background that made the memory no longer happy for him.
"When I Fly Towards You" was one of my favorites for this. Spoilers in comments with more details on my opinion…
Spoilers for "When I Fly Towards You"
"When I Fly Towards You" was one of the first shows I watched where I really appreciated the main leads relationship growing from friendship naturally to romance and nothing was ever able to get in their way. No stupid love triangles (despite the attempts from outside forces that were just deflected by the main couples love); no dumb misunderstandings that complicate everything. Just a natural love and friendship.
I had put off watching this show for a while because I just new I would be asking for repeated gut punches and i didn't know if I was ready for it. Having started and subsequently binged the show i regret putting it off. The show was amazing in all aspects for me.
You should give it a few more episodes. It gets really good from episode 4 onwards.
I read somewhere that the director used Gone With the Wind as inspiration for it, and there are some pretty direct comparisons between them for sure. With that said I feel like the My Dearest main characters are far more likable and just plain better people than the main characters of Gone With the Wind, despite how iconic Scarlett and Rhett my be both in literature and in the film.
