I'll probably drop this. The first three episodes of Bew and Gus were good but the managers are plain annoying. I just stayed for Bew and Gus because their chemistry is good. Hopefully, they get paired up again in a different project. Like a cute, romantic comedy one.
This drama is up there with Light On Me, Semantic Error and To My Star 1 & 2 in the god tier romance shows of the 2020s.
Yes, the ending was not happy and we shouldn't expect it to be. It's filled with hope and angst from episodes 1 to 7. The finale is just a confirmation of what we knew all along. That it will be bittersweet. And my God, the acting of the whole cast is impeccable.
Let's not forget that Once Again is not your typical BL. In fact, I would not even count it as BL because it's more than that, it's about romance and love between two people without the "I'm not into men, I'm just into you trope".
Jae Woo holding on to his love for Jihoon for fifteen years is a beautiful and melancholic ending.
As a character Kaitoon is admirable but him choosing Valen (A toxic person) over the lovable Non will always annoy me.
The second to the last EP was the highlight of the entire show. The beach scene with Non and Kaitoon kissing could have been the show's final shot.
Had this been the ending, I'll forget about the atrociousness this has put me through and give it a solid 8 but no...they had to go down the "I like the irresponsible bad boy who pulled a knife on me and rob me and treated me poorly...." trope .
I'd like to pretend that the last EP never even happened and that we got the ending and the end game we deserve.
The only reason I finished this is because of Daniel and Bew. Honestly, there were little to no chemistry between the ML's. The saving grace of this show will always be Park and Lee.
One of the best K-BL's out there. People may find it boring and lacking when it comes to kissing scenes but that will not take away the fact that this K-BL started the trend longer duration of K-BL out there. First one to have more than 8 episodes and more than fifteen minutes per EP.

Hopefully we can have a second season with Shinwoo and Taekyung in their adulthood, living together and surviving together as adults.

Reasons for cringing: Toh

I would have given season 1 and 2 a 10/10 if Ait and James are not there.
Bas and Marco's story however is a solid 10 for me. The acting was good and their chemistry is great.
Better than anything from the writer in the last four years. Hopefully, the story won't nose dive into oblivion and be a Tharn Type like disaster.
Finished it for the sake of just finishing it back in 2020. But my God, looking back, I should have just dropped this steaming pile of manure.
The non-consensual sex, the blatant homophobia and transphobia. The terrible parenting of Type's dad.
Terrible.
It deserves the same rating as Check Out The Series to be honest.
