In a way I see this as an over-correction against a patriarchal society that tells women they have to want kids,…
Yes, I totally agree. I just think it is sad that we don't see any positive mother characters a lot in dramas lately. I understand that Korea (and not only) has a lot of anti-feminist movements and people generally still think a bit ... let's say not that progressive when it comes to equality and women's' rights. Dramas in a way are trying to change that showing women's point of view. But what I was trying to say was that although motherhood is probably one of the hardest things ever, it is still very beautiful thing and for some maybe the meaning of their lives. What I see lately is only messages as "you will regret it", "don't have children, focus on your career", etc. This is something you should decide. I feel like in the past we were pressured to have children, now we are pressured not to have them. 😆 I see both sides but sometimes I hope, messages should be more positive 😊

I am so sick of K-dramas always representing women as tired, fed-up, hating their own children mothers. I don't know if this is some type of trend that strong, independent women must hate their children and regret having them, but honestly this is so sad. A child does not wish to be born on its own and all these storylines about how unwanted these children are, honestly at this point, disgust me. Of course, your life changes a lot when you have a child and as women it tends to get harder for us but I simply cannot image wanting my child to be gone and never born so I can be young and free again. Ha Ra is one of the few characters that actually wants a child and family and of course, they had to bring in the lawyer character stating how awful it is and how much she regrets it...

The main focus of the drama is revenge not love so there is huge chance she doesn't end with anybody or to have an open/sad ending.

If they really go with the webtoon version without changing it, the drama will be really something new and different! I really hope they don't change it up making it cheesy and unrealistic like every other Korean drama!

Title The World of the Married Spoiler
The biggest plothole so far is how Tae Oh made it to success (in 2 years less). Guy's so dumb, even in all those…
I don't really think it's a plothole, because the thing with him was not that he didn't know his wife knew but that he was waiting for her to calm down and hoping it will all go away if he denied his affair. It was made very clear that he doesn't want a divorce so he was just avoiding confrotation and hoping she will just eventually turn a blind eye to his affair. Also let's not forget that at the beginning of the very first epizode they showed some of his awards from movie festivals so I don't think he is that terrible at his work. Maybe the focus of the first six episodes was just Sun Woo emotions and the way she sees him after she found out about his cheating so we didn't exactly had the chance to get to know his character and background very well. Either way he is trash so..
