Filming already started the very day Netflix confirmed the cast.

According to schedule, filming is ending in November.

But wait. How can Netflix be this dumb not to recognize a gem like this and take advantage of it. This show has everything to keep viewers on the age of their seat; powerful soundtrack, cinematography, great acting, writing and directing and most importantly a fresh, powerful and unusual plot that could even go as far as 20Ep. Yet they decided to give such a show only 11Ep. This is one of few dramas have seen where people are angry that it doesn't have enough episode and I agree. The writer and director was so brilliant to wrap up the entire story in 11 ep and it was so good, I mean this show is already a success but if Netflix would have given them enough time like a 16 or 20 ep serie. My God, I can imagine how overly perfect it would have been, so that those little subplots that wasnt fully explained or expanded and some backstory that they couldn't show due to time would have been fleshed out making the drama impact even more greater.

Nevertheless, the show is already a success and the production team did so good to give us and wrap up this story in 11ep and make it this great and satisfying. I enjoyed it .

If there would ever be a season 2, Netflix should pls make it a prequel ( a kind of backstory to all the characters and how everything turned out the way we first met them)

Netflix gave this heavy and rich show only 11 Ep to wrap everything up, so that is why they had to do with what they have and to be honest, they did a brilliant job to be able to convey such deep and long story that could even extend to 20 ep into just 11ep and make it this good. The only reason they couldn't explain and expand some plots which makes the show a little rushed is due to that.

But then, the way the show was written and directed, and the way the wrap it up with the remaining 3 ep, really gave a meaningful closure and the viewers hints and perspective on how things got there. Kudos to the all production team

This drama is dark, heavy and sensitive. So it's not for everyone. Once you able to assimilate that little surface subplot and get to understand the broader picture of the message the show is trying to communicate. Then it won't be that an issue

It's all based on perception, some people like the drama while some doesn't cause of a thing or the other in the show. So that's just it. Just as you made your opinion known, the rating also is a reflection of people's opinion of the show. Some people say this current rating is even too low for the drama. A dramas rating is centered on many things not just one thing; cinematography, acting, storyline, pacing, soundtrack, directing e.t.c.

Personally, I will say the drama delivered on all aspect, the only thing that was just a bit off which I will say it didn't even affect the show much cause they tied it all up in the remaining few episodes was the rushing of the story which was entirely Netflix fault for giving such a rich drama only 11 episodes. The drama is heavy, dark with alot to cover, it could even go as far as 20ep. But they could only do with what they were given and honestly to me, they perfectly did well to wrap things up in just 11ep. The brilliance of the writer and director to compile and wrap up such a heavy, deep and many plots
that could have been fleshed out if they gave them the time into just 11 ep and make it this good is a kind to commend.

Every person opinion on the show is to be respected, so I respect yours. for me, it was a great drama and I enjoyed every moment

Uhmm, I will have to rewatch there to get more clarity but for sure it wouldn't be the same well as the household well

The well that they threw his corpse wasnt the household well they fetch water from. If you notice, when she get into the well, it was dry and muddy. I believe it was an abandoned backyard well that wasn't in use even before the incident happened

The more I watch, the more I like the character of Jae Yi. She is strong at heart, intelligent and brave. Someone who stand by her values, know her worth and what she wants and go for it. Independent and responsible. All this despite what she went through since childhood plus the corrupt and abusive home she grew in. Kudos to the writer for a well written FL character

I believe it was just a speculation, rumors cause the only see it at night. I believe he always captures those children at night to avoid been seen and caught. In reality, he wasn't a ghost after all, just another soldier of the evil prince whose main duty is to capture the children .

Go into the drama with a fresh mind, I think expecting it to be similar to AOS will leave you dissatisfied and miss the essence of this drama. This drama is entirely different from AOS, with a different storyline and message. I enjoyed every moment of the show so you can try it yourself if it's your type of drama

Wow! Your opinion though. But not for me personally and that's me being honest not because they did great in their previous show. The thing is no matter how good an actor is once his/her character is poorly written and has no motivation behind their actions like most characters in impossible heir, it will be impossible to connect with them. Alot of actors in impossible heir did well in terms of acting in their consecutive roles but it didn't make any difference because the story and characters were that badly written

It wasn't even the cast cause majority of the cast can act. I think acting problem was only on the FL. The main issue of the drama was definetely poor and underdeveloped script and characters, that's why we couldn't relate or reasonate with the drama

The same director directed missing the other side, a very good drama. So I don't know what he was smoking when he did the impossible heir though more blame should be on the writer

Wow! seeing you making an opinion and believing your opinion is supreme seems so funny to me, I mean my write up was not even addressing your type cause I clearly said if you don't like the drama for one thing or another in the drama is justified because you just made an opinion and review based on what YOU watched, my write up however was for those who said they love everything about the drama and then later claimed they ruined a good show by giving it a sad ending like that's absurd isn't it, the genre is obviously tragedy/bittersweet.

Now back to you again, you just made ur honest opinion and review on the drama and I'm not arguing with you on that, I like to see more of that than see the type of people calling it a great show then later saying it was ruined at the end cause of sad ending. I mean you can complain on one thing or another that may affect a show but I don't think liking everything about a drama and then saying the drama is no longer good because after everything, they didn't give you happy ending is kind of ideal

Now where you drew the line is this, claiming my rating isnt genuine cause you have different opinion on the show. What makes you think your opinion is supreme and speaks for everyone? Imagine calling someone out for lack of media literacy just because he has different review and opinion from yours. I gave the drama 8.5 and that's my honest review personally, you might go ahead and give yours 5.0 or even 3.5; it's your own review after all, it's okay, nobody is arguing ,

I find it cringy, annoying yet funny when I get to some page discussion on this drama, even this page and I hear some people saying things like 'oh the drama was beautiful and a 10 for me then the decided to ruin everything with a sad ending or the drama was perfect but the spoilt it at the end and when you ask them what they mean, they will say it's because they gave it a sad ending. Like wtf is wrong with people's media literacy these days 😳. I mean if you say you didn't like some aspect of the drama, that's very okay and understandable but saying a show went bad for you only because they didn't give you a happy ending is kind of pathetic to be honest. Like what happened to tragedy genre in your book? or do they no longer exist? Not every film needs to have a happy ending. That's why we have different genre

How will you judge a drama bases on what people say? Especially since this drama review is kinda divided, some says it's pooly executed or complain of one thing or the other and some calls it a masterpiece. I will advice you watch it yourself to know if it's your type of drama or not

The drama was made for the people who was able to understand and relate to the message it's trying to convey; not for everyone.

And it seems it succeeded in getting to its target audience cause I see alot loving and praising the drama. that already makes it a success

Going on my Twitter feed and seeing lots of people loving and being crazy about this drama gives me satisfaction. They really got it like me

Dear Hongrang came like a storm: unexpected, unprepared for. With a strange an unusual theme and story that people rarely see in a kdrama.

Some complains that the show didn't deliver as much and some calls it a masterpiece. How is that possible? - it only means Dear Hongrang came, not for everyone but a set of people who understood, connected and was able to relate to the concept and message of the story they are trying to pass on, beyond the dark, heavy and sensitive theme.

So for those that enjoyed and loved it; i'm happy for you and for those who didn't enjoy or like it; it's understandable, it definitely wasn't your type of drama.

All this aside, I'm not saying the show is perfection, there may be little loopholes just like in any other drama out there. But then, to me personally, Dear Hongrang made it's mark and its worth praise.
