Your story is almost same as mine but the only difference i have watched animes at first then reading mangas online. My favorite anime and manga is Hana Yori Dango so my first live action was the japanese Hana yori Dango in 2006 and i started to watch japanese doramas and taiwanese then korean dramas too and i got immersed in k-pop too. I was 21 in 2006. :-)
