I was thinking, since supreme heavenly emperor hate XuanYe, and YingYuan is his son, maybe he want to make YingYuan fighting with his father, XuanYe obviously couldn't kill his own son, so he borrow YingYuan's hand to do that. I think Ying Yuan, even when he realized he already fall in love with her, he never has the intention to make their relationship continue.
