Falling in Love? No. Falling Asleep? Yes.

So I finally finished Love Like the Galaxy. I started watching it because everyone kept hyping it up : “masterpiece”, “10/10”, “best drama ever”, and all that. The ratings were insane too, so yeah, I went in with crazy high expectations.

But man… it was a struggle.
Like seriously, I felt like I was fighting for my life just to finish it. Usually, if a drama is good, I’ll binge it in no time. But this one? It took me forever, it just didn’t grab me. I kept waiting for that “OMG this is amazing!” moment… and it never really came.

The plot felt slow, the pacing dragged, and the whole thing just didn’t pull me in. And don’t even get me started on the female lead. I get that she had a tough upbringing and didn’t get much love from her mom. Sure, that explains a few things. But still, she came off as so self-centered. Like, the male lead was out there risking his life for her, constantly showing how much he cared, and she stayed cold, made impulsive decisions, and acted like it was just her against the world.

I get independence, I love a strong FL but this was just… exhausting.

Would I recommend it?
Only if you have a lot of patience and you’re into slow-burn palace politics with emotionally closed-off characters. But if you’re expecting an emotionally engaging story that hits you hard, this ain’t it.
