Hiii, even though two months have passed I'll still answer. Honestly I feel like if it had really been a dream, the ending would have been so much better, but I actually think it was real: if you remember, in the last scene Soon Yi's granddaughter told her that she had seen someone out of the house the previous night, and I think it's quite clear that that someone is Chul Soo. Still think that your version would have been better tho

please give it a shot, I had the same doubts as you but I've just finished it and I'm so glad I decided to watch it! If you're really unsure I'd say try to watch the first few episodes and if you like those you'll definitely enjoy the others as well :)
