i picked that up because that one edit of Choi Woo Shik on the train that everyone and their mother saw and Im so glad I did as Im not a horror fan. This one has more disturbung than horrory vibes and I loved it
this is such a mess. also the fact that they made a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT an actual CEO of a factory makes me roll my eyes so hard I can almost see my brain.
I would only like to point out that if people on a space mission can call people on Earth and stay in touch then there is no valid reason for all these kdrama MLs being out of contact for years just bc they went to America!
Thai remake of the Korean classic. This one is more recent as it's from 2021 and thank God, as the fashion (even though still outrageous - so much animal print!) is way better and less distracting. Gotta say I liked this version much more. It's shorter, so all the ridiculous plotlines were cut. The violence and the bullying that starts the drama is way more severe and cruel but it's also resolved in a much more believable way. ML has actually some redeemable traits, you can see the change and he actually addresses his past behaviour. 2ML is still questionable. No one can persuade me he was a good guy. 3ML and 4ML's roles should have been reversed as my boy Win does not have a face of a ruthless playboy.
Let me just say that this should be watched ONLY for its sentimental value, as this did not age well. The amount of toxicity, red flags dressed as love is just unreal. I honestly blame this drama for so many fans' low standards in MLs. Lee Min Ho plays the OG Red Flag Oppa who has zero redeemable traints but i guess that fine since he's rich and hot? 2ML is terrible, as watching yoir friends bullying and violence and not speaking up is just as bad. The fact that he never bullied himself does not make him a good guy. also, dont get me started on the "getting lost and almost dying ON THE SKI SLOPE" plotline.
Extra props for the poster and FML casually standing there in high heels. What I didn't like was ending strongly suggesting next season which most likely will not happen, as this drama even though very enjoyable, was no masterpiece.
Ok, to be transparent I picked ot up for Cha Eun Woo and few edits of him working on cars and fixing his hair 😂 To be even more transparent these edits are like 5 minutes of the actual drama so I feel cheated. I'm also glad that I picked it up as it was really fast paced and full of plot twists (lots of them super predictable but still enjoyable).
Namkoong Min is perfect for this role with his trademark smirk and mischevious vibe. I liked the cases Ji Hun was taking. The only draggish part was the flashback to the past which could have been wrapped up in one episode
This is one of the dramas that I watched bc of one 10sec long edit and unfortunately this time it was a major flop. It started sort of promising but super quickly became extra cringe and boring. ML is played by Kim Min Gue who always has an awkward face expression, like he's constantly either bewildered or constipated (or both) and imo is not the best actor. I did enjoy the performance of the rest of the cast though (especially the boys from the idol group).
the fact that he went to a war zone to randomly become some weird freedom fighter to atone for sins of his forefathers has got me in stitches. But what got me in even more stitches was her sneaking through the jungle ( in said WAR ZONE) in designers clothes and a scarf on her head as a disguise. i mean......
Idk man, devil works hard, but the screenwriters trying to convince me that ML is in fact not a Massive Red Flag, work harder. What we got here are years of neglect and gaslighting and sometimes direct verbal abuse. But hey, it's fine as the ML is insanely hot and he's doing it out of loooooveeeeeee. Excuse me while I go and roll my eyes so hard I will see my brain. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the pace of the drama so much and the two 2FMLs were amazing, every episode was executed perfectly (except for the last one, let's pretend it doesnt exist) and I was obsessed by our Red Flag Oppa, but come on, don't try to persuade me that red is green, m'kay?
idk, 40yo man who doesnt even know how to make scrambled eggs isn't funny, it's depressing.
This show makes me appreciate Dong Yeon so much. He's such an organised an skilled person. I love that. He prepared amd brought recipes, dowloaded maps and Finnish dictionary, read about the countey and Finnish customs. Also, him apologising that random couple in the restaurant for bothering them just unlocked another level of respect I have for him.
Next to him and Cha Eun Woo (who even got cooking lessons from his mum beforehand and looks very organised and skilled overall) older guys just look a bit pathetic.
