You are right. I was frustrated too while watching but even though yichen has cloud light sword he is not killing him until now. Its a philosophical concept they will keep on denying it until they themselves undergoes with the same situation. U r fair and honest in your thinking but human emotions don't work like that. If someone killed our family we will hold a guilt until we will realize it was actually not intentional. If we pay attention to their talkings we will understand that concept of fangs of fortune which really means that sometimes we gets to a situation where we are just unlucky it doesn't mean we actually wanted to do that. Every ml will not only understand but also defend him in future. Not only ZYZ but other demons too. And thats the whole story if they start to understand within 8 episodes then whats the point of all other episodes? And this is actually the reality of life we don't understand a person until we go through the same conditions.
