The best short drama by far is A Familiar Stranger. I would also recommend Money is Coming and The Fallen Lady Returns. If you wanna watch something more modern (and spicy), Embrace in the Dark Night, Queen of Darkness, and Affinity are fun options (they all have the same FL actress).

Oh, yes.. i also found that part a bit hard to digest. And the fact that his brother needed to counsel him before he went after He Yan to give him another chance was off. Like, he needed a green light from his brother before he decided he couldn't give up on the love of his life? At least they didn't drag this trope, and he should be grateful He Yan didn't take him to task for it and was literally so understanding!

That's exactly why I won't be watching Shadow Love any time soon. I need to recover and move on from the insane chemistry from LOFTG first! I absolutely adore Cheng Lei otherwise I might not be watching Shadow Love at all lol

The emperor from Love Like the Galaxy was great too.. funny, understanding, and not emotionally and intellectually stunted like most emperors in Cdramas!

Ok, so in the drama they made it seem like they have the same father, but in the novel they were cousins. So while it is not explicitly said they are step or half-siblings, it is implied

He is an extremely insecure brat. He is jealous because he is inferior to his stepsister in every way.. so much so that he has made himself believe that he is the true General Feihong to compensate for his own lacking 🤦🏽‍♀️ also doesn't help that their father has ingrained in his children that women are inferior to men
