Netflix original thrillers do much better, korean romance dramas are popular but still a niche audience worldwide
I’m outside Korea, and I don’t watch any thrillers yet Netflix keeps suggesting me Parasite. I think they are doing something extra to Parasite and not QOT. I wouldn’t say that comparing how Parasite and QOT are doing in Netflix is fair. There’s something intensional about promoting Parasite. QOT seems to have reached the charts because of its popularity alone.

I really really love this series. The ML is perfect for the role and I like the FL, too. Every time he gets near her, you can feel the tension. They are like magnets. I also like the plot… I like how the twists replicate a game of baduk.
