Title Fighting for Love Spoiler
Was the ML evil from the beginning and just hid it well?
ML has always been a selfish, weak coward. Power got to his head as emperor, & he beheaded people over trival matters without a care.

He's never loved A'mai, just sees her as his object to keep & forced her to be a consort.

Making A'mai empress, will not erase the fact that the ML married & slept with someone else before her. That's what broke A'mai's heart & the ML's sociopath brain couldn't understand, cause he has 0 empathy.

No hesitation in killing officals & casually talking about killing his 1st wife, if it'll provide a quick fix.

He killed Tang Shao Yi , a loyal soilder, simply because he was jealous of his friendship with A'mai.

He didn't have the power to do anything to Chang Yu Qing, so he could only beg her not to leave with him.

Pretty sure ML would rape her if he could, but he knows she's stronger than him & if he used drugs, he'd be killed by her in the future.
Fear of being assassinated by A'mai is what kept him from physically forcing her, so he forced the title of consort on her & decided to kill all males that show affection to her.

He's happy for her to remain as a single soilder in the corner of his country, as long as she does not get close romantically to another man.
That is a selfish, weak coward of a man with too much power and 0 empathy.

ML even made secret deals with her sworn enemy Chen Qi.

Although tragic, even the enemy Chen Qi & A'mai had a better love story than A'mai & the ML. Not much dialogue but the emotions between them were powerful & raw.

I think there was a real risk of Chen Qi being able to kill her, but by allowing her to kill him, he proved that his feelings of love & care for her were sincere, even if he did kill her father.

She's better off with the Beimo general, they have better chemistry, he actually respects her as a person & never really forced her to do anything.

Kind of an open ending as they don't show us where A'mai went.
I'm sure she's going to Beimo to marry Chang Yuqing.
Clues hint to this, she's wearing white & polishing her sword, like Chang Yuqing polishes his long spear, and her sword handle is extra long too.

Also, when he proposed with his army, he told her not to be so final about saying no, and to think about it. She smiled a secret smile and went back inside. Because she does not want the crazy ML to know she's going to Beimo & start a war.
Chang Yu Qing said there will be years of peace now & no wars. So she decided to go get married to a worthy man and enjoy some years of joy in her personal life.

Her trusted men know where she's going & she instructs them to contact her in emergencies. After how she was treated, there is no reason for her to be loyal to Nanxia's royalty, but she will always make sure Nanxia's public are safe & will always defend them in wars.

In the novel, it actually ends with her meeting up with Chang Yu Qing, I'm so annoyed that the drama cut this.

ML, emperor of Nanxia is evil. Killing people without a care, seeing A'mai as an object & loving only himself & power.

Although tragic, even the enemy Chen Qi & A'mai had a better love story than A'mai & the ML. Not much dialogue but the emotions between them were powerful & raw.

Kind of an open ending as they don't show us where A'mai went, but as far as I'm concerned, she's going to Beimo to marry Chang Yuqing.

Clues hint to this, she's wearing white & polishing her sword, like Chang Yuqing polishes his long spear.

At 39.31, she even wields her sword in a way you would wield a spear. Her sword handle is extra long too, and looks like a long spear on her back as she rides her horse.

Also, when he proposed with his army, he told her not to be so final about saying no, and to think about it. She smiled a secret smile and went back inside. Because she does not want the crazy ML to know she's going to Beimo & start a war.

On The Longest Promise Aug 13, 2023
Title The Longest Promise Spoiler
The drama is from the same universe as
Mirror: a tale of twin cities,
I should never have watched it.

(Spoilers below)

Writers ruined Mirror: a tale of twin cities and the ending was disastrous.
Male lead does not really come back from the dead, once a year he comes back for 10 minutes,
as some sort of ghost formed of water drops,
over the sea, which the female lead cannot really touch, but stare at with tears in her eyes.

This drama came 1st and it's sort of the parent drama, even if it's a sequel timeline wise.

So going from the ending of this drama,
I am pretty sure, the writers wanted the ending of the longest promise to be similar.

Male lead appears after a year, so we've got the similar 1 year wait.

When the female lead sees him, there is a very long staring at each other scene but no touching.

Realisticly, you would be shocked for a few seconds then run towards each other, and hug and kiss.

They were staring at each other for too long without moving, and they never touched each other.

So I am pretty sure the priest or crown prince version 1,
is an illusion and not really back from the dead. Maybe a ghost or a spirit that appears once a year.
Therefore, no touching shown.

But the writers didn't make if obvious as many fans would be upset,
so they kind of left it as open ending, fans can decide if he's back from the dead or if he's an illusion.

I am not a Xiao Zhan fan and nor do I find him handsome (Personal opinion - everyone has different taste).

So I was not blindly in love with his face, and I won't give the drama a 10 just because he's the male lead.

Yes, he's a good actor and his acting was good.
But the writers wrote his character and the storyline so badly,
that there's nothing more he could've done.

It's the writers fault that he did not have good chemistry with the female lead.

Female lead is not awful like some netizens are saying, it's more the writers fault for making her character like that.

Love is not about looks, but the way the leads interact and the chemistry they portray on screen.

Romance between the leads was not good, it was very lacking.
Once they both were in love with each other,
they did not have many romantic scenes,
kisses or intimate interactions,
to convince me that they were madly in love with each other and willing to die for each other.

The wedding night scene had me so frustrated. I mean they are married, so why make the scene so un-romantic and tame?
I am not asking for anything x-rated.

Censors aren't that strict with married couples, other recent dramas had racier wedding night scenes.

Why not show that the outer robes are coming off, he's removing her jewellery,
him carrying her to bed and climbing on top of her, kissing,
hand holding, then the curtains can shut and zoom out from the scene.

I am not kidding, but because of how tame the wedding night scene was,
there was an actual discussion somewhere between fans, on whether they actually consummated or not, as no baby was shown after the 1 year jump, lol.

Personally, I felt the female lead had more chemistry with the merman Yuan.
I know this sounds messed up, but even when Yuan was in evil mode and choking her,
he had more chemistry with the female lead than Xiao Zhan.

I actually started to ship her and Yuan towards the end of the drama.
I wish the drama could've ended with her being revealed as her great grandmother's reincarnation, and Yuan and her should've ended up together.

And Xiao Zhan can go back to being a priest in the mountains, away from the world, like he always wanted.

Anyway, this is my opinion on the longest promise and it's ending.

Any hateful or negatives comments just to purely attack me will be ignored.

Have a good day everyone, thank you for reading.

On this link it shows Chen Kun and NiNi as leads so it is probably real,
but I'm sure they won't have the same names Ning yi and Feng zewei.

I don't care what they're called, as long as they star as leads, there's romance and they have a happy ending.

They had crazy chemisty in the rise of phoenixes, and I'm still not over that bad ending.

Omg, I'm so excited, really looking forward to this drama.

What are you all watching after this drama? Has your withdrawal cured already? :))
Watching maid's revenge to distract myself.

That drama is like stories on wattpad come to life, male lead is hot.

But at the end of the day, I have to watch some Dixin gravity videos on YouTube before I go to bed, lol.

Yes, still addicted.

This fan made epilogue edit is million times better than the iqiyi ones.

No eng subs,

Video shows orchid being re-born in the mortal realm.

There is also a wedding and wedding night scene.

I think the dialogues were -

Dongfang - "Don't move, let me hug you,"
Orchid - "Big wooden head, you're hurting me, be more gentle."

Nothing X-rated but still made me blush, lol.

At the end they have two children.

Title Love a Lifetime Spoiler
A lead actor that never should've been an actor since he has a no kiss on screen policy
(a wife & child is no excuse, many other actors are married. If you can't tell between real life & reel life, don't be an actor),

& a writer that should've been a bad fan fiction writer,

& a director that's clueless & doesn't understand multi camera shots in a scene, so it feel like you're watching a stage play,

& unnecessary dialogues & unnaturally long conversations in middle of action, that makes it feel like your reading a bad book = this awful, waste of time drama.

Bonus = As lead actor won't kiss, no one else was allowed to lip kiss on screen.
Rong Su and Lu Yizhou was the best couple, when moments between them required intense kiss, all they could do was hug tightly.

Only watched this drama till the end for them but they were forced to a bad end, so as not to outshine the dumb leads, that lacked chemistry, trust & character
development.

Spacecraft explodes and they all die in the end. Wu shuang is shameless, selfish, stupid and a useless female lead. I have no idea what all the men and Rui saw in her?
There were many women far more beautiful than her, and she had no loyalty or morals.

I hate what Rui did to his loyal and beautiful doctor wife, he lead her on by flirting with her many times and literally grabbed her hand and begged the empress to marry them.
Why did he treat her so coldly afterwards when the marriage was his choice?
He promised her dad to take care of her but he abandoned her?
Men could have 2 wives at that time, could he not show her affection and keep wu shuang as a concubine?
I am glad Rui and Wu shuang got seperated and died, karma got to these selfish people.

Really bad drama and worst story. They had aliens, magic, okay CGI, nice costumes, beautiful people and good budget, but they ruined it with horrible story and bad characters.
They could have made a great love story without any cheating spouses and a side story of saving the world from alien invasion, instead they decided to go down this stupid nonsense route.

Now I understand why none of the major sites didn't eng sub this for years, even the comedy Chinese alien drama, let's shake it, is so much better than this rubbish.
Only good thing about this drama is the way Rui looked, I admit he was hot and the only reason I started watching this drama. Lol,

Title Love under the Full Moon Spoiler
Drama was good expect that terrible ending.

So he's forgotten her and she's stuck in a time loop, to go back and forth every 10 years,

until she changes something big that let's her travel to an alternative universe in 2011, where she doesn't fall of the cliff.

Why not just show us she manages to to do this and reunites with him?

Really cruel to make her disappear on her wedding day,

At least let them marry and consummate before she gets lost in time.

Why did you have to make Zheng yecheng cry so much?
He's such a good actor, his expressions are so realistic that it made me cry.

Also, writers ruined Xuan he revenge plot just to rush the ending.

It was unfair and unsatisfying that he got away with just an apology, and got to be with the girl that he barely cares about .
We hear he will be punished but they don't tell us how.
So will it be a huge money fine?
Thats not really a punishment for a rich boy,

He caused someone's death by heart attack and ruined their reputation and life's work, and tried to kill Lei chu xia many times.

Yes, he had a bad childhood but he's still a psycho.

He treats his current girlfriend like an item, a stress relief booty call that can be thrown away whenever he feels like it.

I wanted to see Xuan he exposed and disgraced, dragged away from his office kicking and screaming by police, then jailed.
His father should've died from a heart attack after learning how he's son had shamed the family.

Writers killed the revenge plot and gave the psycho a happy ending.
He gets away with I'm sorry, ends up with his father's love and his desperate girlfriend, and is still rich because he's father's rich.

Is this fan service to Yalkun Merxat fans? Yes, he's handsome but he'll never have the charm and attraction that Zheng ye cheng has.

Why end it like this? It would not be too hard or cost any extra budget, to have them remember each other at the end,
get married and kiss. Wedding night then fast forward a few years and show us a baby.

I'm going to pretend it ended like that,

Realistically breaking bricks on their heads would give them brain damage. Who came up with this? I would leave…
The only thing that annoyed me,
was the training where you have to have bricks smashed on your head.

Initially, it appeared too un-realistic to me,
as I've never heard of skull getting strengthened after repeatedly getting hit.

So I did some research, and found that it is a real Chinese martial arts skill to develop the iron head.
(Link below),

https://www.google.com/amp/s/braineggs.wordpress.com/2016/01/01/the-iron-head-exercise-%25E9%2593%2581%25E5%25A4%25B4%25E5%258A%259F/amp/

So martial arts using Qi energy is not normal training as it's a bit supernatural,

They should of explained that this is a high level martial arts skill,

Would've been more realistic to show them meditating and
cultivating Qi energy first.

Also, since they are new to this, Should've at least started with 1 brick to the head.

No Qi energy or martial arts mention, and everyone getting 10 bricks to the head in one go, was a bit too much to be realistic.

Everyone Should've been in hospital with skull fractures,

Wonder if Iron head training is used in the real Chinese army,

Apart from the un-realistic bricking, enjoying the drama so far.
