ep 29 was good, It shows Ning meng and captain admit to themselves, that they like each other.
I laughed so hard when the captain tried to report a personal problem, and thought commissar would approve him dating Ning meng, only for him to reveal in the end, he thought captain liked his colleague Wenjing.
Also funny was the captain being called an old bachelor, and how dating and marriage is another mission, and to hurry up and make more babies, lol.
Ep 30 ripped my heart out and made me cry.
I know Xu dong dong's in pain but it really is her fault that Lin yi died, and if he didn't love her, he'd be alive.
She's impulsive and rash and overestimates herself.
There was no need to run after the terrorist alone with no back up, she should've waited for a few more soilders.
Problem is, she saw an image of a single weak looking female and assumed she got easily capture her or take her out.
No matter how harmless a terrorist looks, a terrorist should always be treated like a highly dangerous terrorist.
Lin yi being smart recognised she was in danger going after the terrorist alone, But instead of calling backup for her and waiting, he went after her because he was in love with her.
He stopped being a sniper and went after Xu DD only due to personal feelings.
The most fatal & stupid mistake Xu DD made was to assume the terrorist was dead. She should've fired a few more bullets before stepping closer to the terrorist, I've seen other soilders do it before coming into close range with terrorists.
Also, when the terrorist was trying to blow her up, why on earth did she freeze and not run far away?
That hesitation caused Lin yi to push her out of the way, and he got hit with the full blast.
Those dangerous decisions Lin yi made were all due to his feelings for Xu DD, so her love got him killed.
Really wish the writers would've put him in a coma or have him survive without a limb, instead of killing him.
Xu DD is terrible on the battlefield, I don't think she should even be on the special opps team.
Captain is great, When they were boxing, he told her all those weaknesses she had, that got Lin yi killed, without directly blaming her, as he knew she was already in pain with guilt.
Captain shows her, terrorists won't wait for you to be ready, so always be on guard and be ready for a nasty surprise.
Many times he demonstrates and points out what sneack attacks are, so basically it may seem you've won but they can sneak up on you and attack you, so be ready next time.
The most personal blow he delivered her was, "You're not calm & emotions cloud you're judgement. If I was a terrorist that attacked Lin yi, you would be dead by now".
Xu DD realises she really messed up, and she needs to never make those mistakes again. ---—------------

I think when Xu DD tells the captain at the hospital, that she loved Lin yi and didn't get a chance to properly confesss her love to him, It made the captain think about confessing his love directly to Ning meng, in case something happens to either of them in the future.
the writers ruined this brilliant drama. Why did they change the novel's happy ending?
How can feng zi wei be so stupid when she's supposed to be clever?
So what if the old ex king said you will have a bad life? Tell him to shut up and die in his secret prison, marry ning yi and be empress and be with the person you love.
Ning yi did not deserve such treatment and betrayal.
Also, they spend all night together in a room, after he'd almost officially recognised her as his consort, and all the writers make them do is talk all night.
Ridiculous and utter nonsense. Ning yi is very passionate and very much in love with her. Their almost first kiss scene almost made my heart stop,so when he has her alone and she is as good as his wife, he would surely want to do more than talk.
Ning yi would certainly never force her, and he dosen't just want her body which is why he was angry when she started removing her clothes, when he entered the room.
But judging from his love and passion for her. surely, he would want to make love to her, and persuade her to be happy and willing while doing so.
If the writers have to kill her, at least let them consummate their relationship.
Old Da cheng empire people are crazy, they were bad royals so they got replaced.
You have no army, just a bunch of delusional people, so how on earth are you going to replace the new empire?
If they had any brains, they would see that the best path now is inter-marriage between the old da cheng princess, feng zi wei, and current emipre prince.
It would unite both empires, stop nonsense blood shed and rebellion. Feng zi wei and ning yi being married would have brought peace and prosperity.
The ending was so heart breaking, Ning Yi didn't do anything so bad to feng zi wei, that she had no choice but to kill herself.
She thinks she experienced cruelty, ha.
If she'd fallen in love with the crown prince from the drama Goodbye my princess, then she'd know real pain and betrayal, and the 'I love him but I can't live with myself and I have to kill myself' would be justified.

When Ning Meng confronts captain about soilders losing limbs unfairly in the name of training,
Captain shows her, the injured soilders are war veterans that had lost their limbs in real war.
They had put on prosthetics and fake blood, and pretended to lose their limbs during the training exercise,
No one was really going to get their limbs blown off,
I was shocked in the beginning too before the reveal.
