I'm sorry, but I don't know what to say. Everything is legit all over the place - and there's way too many cliches squeezed into this mess. I mean, I'm only on episode 5, so I'll try giving It some more time - but my hope is low lol. Or no, wait - is It worth It?
Idk, the drama was cute, but It really wasn't anything special and It was really predicatble (Just cause a drama is predictable doesn't make It bad tho, but some things felt straight out pointless). l also thought It was waaaaay to fastpaced - however, I always think that about webdramas... And yeeeee, I'm really proud of Hongbin *cough* the reason I watched the drama (welp, I'm trash for vixx). I mean It's really worth watching if you want to watch something quick, cute and "uncomplicated".
I know I'm not supposed to compare It to the manga, but I just thought Sorim is portrayed pretty weak in…
I'm pretty sure the manga ended in rush a couple of months ago, as chapter 90 felt like a forced cut and the last page said "Owari". I still do think So Rim - and the other characters are pretty different from the manga though and the same goes for the story, but the base is definitely there for a lot of the events - as you said.
Although I didn't think So rim was weak just because she cries pretty often - people aren't necessarily weak for crying a lot- I only thought that because of some other things that happened in the drama.
I know I'm not supposed to compare It to the manga, but I just thought Sorim is portrayed pretty weak in the drama.. It's a bit off-putting since Riko was a much "stronger" character in the manga (in my opinion), but oh well - the drama and the manga is supposed to be different - It's honestly not even the same story lol.
I actually really like this so far, they make such a heavy subject comedic - at the same time they know when to be serious.
BTW I THINK I DIED A BIT ON THE INSIDE WHEN I SAW THAT PENCIL SCENE ( when she imagined that Seo Woo Jin threw a pen at her and she caught it with her upper lip and nose) - BLESS.
It's very different. I mean, It can't be exactly like the manga (wow I feel like I can't shut up about It, I'm sorry....), but I think they changed a lot stuff that they could have kept, and that they added a bunch of unnecessary stuff as well. Some of the characters are completely changed, as if they are different people - and they turned some "bad"characters into "good" one's with these 2 episodes (I did not like that kind of change.). And they made the main lead douchier than he is in the manga, and he also seem like a different character (I do love Lee Hyun woo tho :^) ) . Some/ a lot of the story seems to be changed. Although this kinda makes the drama more enjoyable for me since I can't tell what's going to happen next. I'm gonna keep watching :^)
Regarding the haircut - In the manga this drama is based on, the main character (in this case she's called Yoon So rim) is called Mush because of her bob haircut that makes her look similar to a mushroom. Although I haven't seen any "Ah, she looks like a mushroom" references in the drama yet lmao. I can't speak for Do Bong Soon or Kim Bok Jo, I guess It's just a popular haircut?
