they just throw the evidence on AI. so despicable and ridiculous
That is S. Korea for you. They will churn out the facts whichever way they want them to lean. They almost destroyed Suga from BTS for a minor, insignificant DUI for riding a scooter on a sidewalk. Please. He was lucky to have survived it. From the higher courts down to the crazy a$$ netizens, the people in South Korea have weird ideals. You’ve got CEOs and politicians doing way worse and walking away untouched. On one hand, they say they are conservative. On the other hand, they go wilding, lose their morals, drink like there is no tomorrow, it has a nationwide epidemic of alcoholism, their female Idols dress and dance in a way that is pretty provocative for a country with conservative values, and their laws don't mean a thing. What rules and is more important is the law of public opinion and who has the most money to shut people up.
Every single "auntie" in South Korea who is not an actual aunt needs to be thrown in jail, along with anyone brazen…
At the time where were the family members of this girl and didn't they know that she was seeing him while underage? And why was it never handled years back? Or is it that they knew he was dating a famous actor and were thrilled, gave her their blessing and even encouraged her the whole time? I wouldn't doubt it. People become fickle and money hungry, so who knows what the truth is? I'd rather wait to hear from the courts when it's all said and done. No reason to get all riled up about it. I'm just suspisious about the family and what they knew and when they knew it.

Good!! I really hate Korean justice. People can damage someone's reputation and livelihood, and even lead them to s**cide, just from their verbal attacks. Jumping to conclusions or changing narratives just for the pleasure of causing sensational scandals? WTF is this? So what happened to innocent until proven guilty? I thought South Korea was a democracy. In Korea, it's more like let's get him while he's down. Shame on the people of South Korea and their hypocritical conservative views. If they were truly conservative and fair, they would follow the laws and let the courts find the truth, not the netizens.
If you're interested, I started a Vertically Filmed Actresses List and a Vertically Filmed Actors List to help…
That's terrific, thanks. I'm usually good at finding those hard to find, nameless short films. After looks for the film through a name, if lucky to have it, but if not, then I start looking for the actors names. If I get the names then I am sure to find the film, in most cases. If not, well, I just move on. Too many films to worry about one. This list will make it easier, for sure.
I have a question. Why were you nice to unbeliebubble but you came at me basically for nothing. My opinion was actually close to unbeliebubble's comment. And I never attacked you in any way. Ah, never mind. I won't worry about it. Have a good day. Bye.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 the us wont use him. hollywood racist af. maybe if he was a korean woman. ppl like steven…
Well, thank you for including me in your name-calling. You really are a pleasant person. Aren't you? All I did was say, "What's with the name-calling?" and couldn't you have a civil debate without being disrespectful? I wasn't being unkind; I was just reminding you that to get your point across, you don't have to stoop so low. That's all. Maybe you were already frustrated from arguing with others, but why come at me? I was just trying to keep the discussion calm.🤷🏻😳

Sorry, I'm not a liberal. I'm a conservative with common sense. Celebrity or not, the guy had a drug problem and needed help. Anyone with a drug problem deserve help. They get addicted just as easliy as an alcoholic drinker does with drinking alcohol (which is a big problem in Korea), as a habitual smoker does with smoking , or as an over-eater or binge eater does with food. Those are other examples of addiction. They are all diseases. Some people personalities are predisposed to an addiction of some kind. Some people can fall pray to it and some have strength to avoid it. It's usually something in their brain that can set them off even with just one try of a substance. Should everyone with an addition of any kind be put in prison? Korea's antiquated thinking needs to join the 21 century.
I've been looking all over for this series. YT only had it up to episode 9, then nothing. It did have English subtitles. Very frustrating. If I had known, I wouldn't have started watching it.
I've been following his situation since the beginning, and now, all I want to say is that it is ridiculous! Korea's judicial system is a joke. How can they do this to this poor guy who has a severe drug problem? Instead of sending him to any time in prison, they should give him that fine and add community service to his sentence and much-needed medical and psychological therapy. But this is the easy way out. Just throw him in prison and throw away the key for a while. This man's life is ruined, and I don't know how he will ever be able to repair it. I really feel bad for this guy. If he was a chaebol or a son of a high-ranking official, just hand out some cash, and that will set the guy free. It's shameful and backward. I feel sorry for the Korean people who make mistakes. They will pay for it with their future and their lives. Very sad and infuriating. I wish Yoo An In the best, and may the year go by quickly. Stay safe and healthy.
Actually, he is a brilliant hardcore actor tho it is a shame that he has to face this tremendous incident. This…
Wrong, it's not his fault. He shouldn't have to keep in mind every step he takes could ruin his and his family's reputation. This is the 21st century, so people there have to let go of these antiquated thoughts. He is a grown man who is not accountable to anyone but himself. He did nothing wrong. He went to a hotel with a consenting woman. It's none of anyone's business what he does in his own private time. This incident was an invasion of his PRIVACY and not done in PUBLIC. This incident was an attack on his privacy and his character. He is a decent guy who was in a relationship and did something privately they both wanted. The culprit here is this shady woman. She seems to have betrayed him by leaking these private photos that were taken without his consent. It's obvious he has to be more careful with who he dates in the future. But this woman, who is married, which makes her an adultress, hounded him for years and finally got him. Then she took advantage of him. All this is an invasion of privacy and should be handled in a criminal and civil court. Who knows how Arthur Chen feels about this woman? He could really be left devastated. Arthur Chen should go after her for damaging his reputation and for personal distress. However, in no way, shape, or form should Arthur Chen's reputation or his acting career be damaged for something he had no control over at the time. He was a victim, and that society should get a grip and keep their stupid, antiquated expectations and see life isn't lived in a tiny bubble anymore. It's a great, big, scary world out there, so get used to it.
Why is this even an issue? He is a grown-ass man and can do what he wants in his private life. It's no one else's business. He didn't rape or abuse anyone, so why are they going after him? They were two consenting adults in a hotel, but maybe he should be more careful with who he has relationships with. This woman seems like a clout chaser who supposedly has been after him for years. She finally wore him down. He is single and did nothing wrong. She, on the other hand, is married, which makes her an adultress. Not a good look on you, Ms. Starlet. Also, if she is responsible for leaking these private photos, which were taken without his consent, then she should be held accountable. If this is the case, it means she planned this, so it's premeditated, and she wanted to cause trouble with them. Arthur Chen should go after her hard and destroy her financially, criminally, or both. Arthur Chen is an actor, not a politician. He doesn't have to live up to anyone's standards. He is not there to represent the citizens. He is there to entertain us with his great acting talent. Leave him alone to continue doing what he does best and report the news on those liars and scandalous politicians who are all corrupt and have plenty of stories to tell.
This poor guy is being made a scapegoat only because Yoo Ah In is a well-known actor. It is shameful and incomprehensible what they are doing to this poor guy. He obviously has an addiction to drugs, and instead of helping him with therapy and sending him to rehab, they are trying to put him in prison for four years. That is just craziness! And what is the most ridiculous is that he is also being charged with smoking weed, NOT in Korea, but in the U.S.! WTF is that? This guy's life is already ruined no matter what happens because Koreans are very unforgiving of those who have made mistakes. The Koreans are very antiquated and hypocritical in their thinking and social expectations, and honor rules over common sense. The Korean government and its lousy legal system have no jurisdiction in the U.S. How can they do that? The more I hear about Korea, the less I like it. Their entertainment field is cool, but what lies beneath is an ugly mess. They should be embarrassed. They are totally unfair and corrupt. There is the area of the K-pop industry. The trainees are worked and trained until complete exhaustion. They barely eat or sleep, and It takes them at least 8 years to debut in most cases. Where are the child labor or should I say slave laws? The men are male chauvinists. Women are disrespected in all aspects of life. What do you expect from a country that treats divorced women like pariahs? Bosses insist their employees drink with clients to the point of passing out. They dare to refuse for fear fear of losing their jobs. That situation is dangerous for the women who have a great chance of being molested or worse. The chance of losing their job is one reason they won't report it. It's a pretty sad place if you ask me. I'm so sorry I wrote a saga, but I am so angry I could have written a thesis.
How terrible, this man needs help not a prison sentence. I recognize that illegal drug use is an issue, but I…
That's for sure! I believe it's unfair to treat him this way. I can't imagine anyone being happy with an addiction. Both drug addiction and alcoholism are diseases and should be treated accordingly. Putting him in prison won't solve the problem as he could still have access to drugs. I feel that there is a lack of empathy in South Korean society, and I find them to be somewhat hypocritical. Drinking and drug use is just one example. I won't go into the others, but that's not what this is about anyway. I hope they recognize his problem and give him a lighter sentence.
It's unfair how harsh they are on people who are clearly struggling with drug addiction. These individuals are dealing with a disease just like alcoholism. Instead of punishing them with lengthy prison sentences, they should be sent to long-term rehab facilities for support and to overcome their addiction. It's disappointing that the lawmakers don't seem to understand this. Additionally, there seems to be a lack of strict laws regarding alcoholism in South Korea despite its prevalence. This inequality is unjust. A significant fine may be appropriate, but imprisoning someone for 4 to 5 years only worsens their life. South Koreans appear to be unforgiving towards those who have made mistakes, and this is another aspect of the culture that I find difficult to accept.
