Haha, yes!

Didn't watch KTL but Jun Ho is a great actor. Loved him in Just Between Lovers. Oh, yeah, TGBM was good. The mom was obviously a tough sell but enjoyed the drama overall and the twins were DARLING. :)

What were CCIR and TGBM again? I only watch airing dramas I'm pretty convinced I'll enjoy from start to finish, so I didn't watch many until now. Some of the big ones this year I don't have access to on the platforms I subscribe to and I don't bother with illegal streaming cause it's too annoying to avoid ads, haha.

Haha, what can I say? People like steamy romances with sizzling chemistry. I'll admit I haven't seen My Demon so I don't want to reduce it to just that without having seen it, so pardon my generalizing, but in general it does sell. I mean, that's what a lot of Netflix is anyway. 😅

Haha, yeah, we'll see why she left him, then, since he seems to still like her. He was kind of annoying in Crash Landing, too, but in an endearing sort of way. :P

I also feel like maybe this drama won't appeal to international audiences as much as say, My Demon or Sweet Home? There are also a LOT of good dramas competing for attention right now, especially on the weekends. I was wondering if the end of the year gets flooded with stronger, more buzzworthy dramas since awards season is around the corner. It felt like there was a long stretch with only a good drama here or there until recently and then we got flooded. 😂

Okay, I think I know what you mean? There might have been a few points in CD with ML, but they were brief. I also think some dramas don't always delve this deeply into the main leads' feelings. I haven't seen My Demon so I'm not familiar with that part...

I usually I prefer stories to show us what characters think and feel through their actions and words to other characters rather than giving us a direct window into their thoughts as a scene happens, anyway. I think it's more artistic and creative. Though sometimes it's done more in comedic scenes and can help make them funnier. Also, I suppose voiceovers kind of count, too?

Plenty of episodes left for it to gain more momentum and creep up if the episodes continue being as strong as they've been up to this point. 👍

I was wondering if Jeju is really that much cheaper than living in Seoul? It's a vacation/seaside spot for Koreans, right? So I picture it being pricey for locals like similar tourist spots in California or Hawaii, for instance, but maybe it's not an accurate comparison.

I laughed when I saw who they cast as Jin Dal's ex-husband because I instantly pictured him in scenes with Jin Dal. He usually plays comedic roles so I anticipate chaotic interactions and over-the-top antics ahead between him and Jin Dal. 😅

Castaway Diva kinda does? I can think of some others as well. Though I suppose it's necessary to define what we mean by "ML's POV" since we all might have a different idea of what that looks like. 🤔

Well-put! People who come to Kdramas for original stories are looking in the wrong places, and it confuses me to no end. Why complain about how predictable the plot is? Kdramas ARE predictable; that's their essence, haha. There are certain tried-and-true plots and premises that can be told different ways and still feel fresh and new, but you have to go into it knowing that the basic plot is something we've seen before, but the drama itself can still deliver something we haven't seen before and that "spin" (I call it "a variation on a theme") can still be deeply enjoyed. 👍

And my last comment on your comment, haha, but the women clearly rule the roost in this town! All the men so far seem like lambs. 😂

Yeah, interested in the older sister's story, too! And the younger sister they seem to be hinting was married but her husband died (one daughter was an old maid (sam dal), another a divorcee (jin dal) and another was a widow (which leaves the youngest sister, hae dal?)? At times they make it like she got pregnant outside of marriage and other times seem to make it like she had a baby after her husband died? I have been most confused by her story.

That made me remember that the guy in Go Back Couple was a weaker ML, too (different kind of "weaker," though), for most of the drama. 😂 He was so frustrating until the last few episodes. It's easier to watch the cute and sweet pushover guys than the jerks, though, I think. 😏

They haven't talked about why she has the same name as the town, right? And also, the ML and FL have the same last name, correct? Confusing, haha.
