Title Friday Night Spoiler
I can't believe that the t-shirt landed on Seo Jin after his nap, what a hilarious coincidence. Funniest thing in 2020, and it's only January.

It's still good and high quality and all, but I just wished they did not extend it and kept with the original…
I guess this is my lesson for commenting after the first episode of the week, damn. Saddest break up ever.

It actually was always planned for 20 eps though. The production clarified that reports were false and that they…
My apologies, I missed that it was planned for 20, I was mislead.

And the Pil Gu thing... I was just sorry to see, that event though the characters are well spoken and communicate so nicely with each other, they kept him in the dark. I am glad that that it gets some sort of a resolution, but still, it bothers me that instead of sitting him down and have some sort of an age appropriate conversation, they let him wrap everything in a bow and move away.

But then again, we will see, there are still some episodes left.

It's still good and high quality and all, but I just wished they did not extend it and kept with the original 16(32) episodes. The writing feels a bit stretchy now and the tempo is a bit off. I am a tiny bit disappointed with the "use of Pil Gu as the dramatic twist" (even though I'm glad that so far they avoided the quick break up just because the drama is nearing its end).

Can someone please tell me if this is actually a drama or is it a variety show of some sorts?
It's a variety show, but they incorporated an overall plot/theme into the episodes.

Last year Alhambra, now this - I wish we would get a Hyun Bin drama every holiday season. I'm so excited for this, the plot sounds good and the cast is excellent. Yay!

Season 2 teaser is out: https://youtu.be/VsmD0AE6hgQLooks like Kwang Soo will still be in this season, maybe as…
I have a theory that something will happen to him as a part of the plot of the overall mystery and that's why he will not be appearing in the whole season.

Title Melting Me Softly Spoiler
You can't really call that an engagement, he didn't even propose... He just gave her a ring. Well if you were…
Okay, maybe I should have taken a breather before posting my comment which I did immediately after I watched the episode and some things I wrote maybe did not come across the way I meant. What I was trying to point out was, that the assault on Mi Ran was not even acknowledged and in 2019, that was a poorly written piece.
As for the self defence, I get that you might see it as excessive. On the other hand, if a 20 years older professor (or with 20 yers more of experience, since you are peers, but you were just frozen for 20 years), who is a lot stronger than you, forces himself onto you (an you have no idea what is he going to do to you, since he is forcefully holding you) you might want to make sure that he won't be able to follow you before you run away. And again, this is very poorly depicted for the sake of "comedy".
I realise that this is fiction and it's pointless to argue about this, but even in fiction they should have addressed the situation properly or not write such a scene at all. Even the fact that she did not mention what happened prior to her beating him up, is problematic.

I am trying to love MMS, it has everything I like in a drama, but the amount of inconsistent writing in this is insulting me quite a lot.
Dong Chan's character is rubbing me the wrong way - for him it's less than a week since he got engaged to Ha Young and at yet he lost all of his feelings in a flash - at least it seems like it, even though they state his reasons but still... that is way to fast to be head over heals for Mi Ran.
And then the incident from this recent episode - Mi Ran got assaulted (one can even argue sexually assaulted by a professor who clasped her into a hug), defended herself and somehow the guy is the victim in this? I did I blink and miss something?
Things like this make it hard for me to be motivated to continue.

Today's episode was something else. I had to remind myself to breathe for the last 20 minutes of it, so intense, good performances all around.

Yong Shik, just go and check out the freaking dog, there must be a clue there, otherwise the others would not drop it into conversation all the time.
Also, the relationship between the leads is so healthy, it makes me want to cry.

is dongbaek's mom PRETENDING to have dementia tf??
Unfortunately, no. This is a very good portrayal of what it actually is like.

Title When the Camellia Blooms Spoiler
why is his mom suddenly hate dongbaek I thought she of all people understood what it's like to be a single mom…
She mentioned that she wished that Dong Baek would find a better man for herself. Which is a very bold criticism of Yong Shik, but I sort of get what she means. Dong Beak has a tough life and Yong Shik is quite naive and goes into things head first. He is not bad, I don't think that she means it that way, but she must see his shortcomings and perhaps thinks, that he does not get all of the consequences and responsibilities that come with having a relationship with a single mother and a business owner and that someone more mature would fit Dong Baek better.

It was a bit repetitive, especially between the leads, but I hope that it's done and dusted now. The writing as a whole is excellent though. I am very much enjoying the secondary characters and the addition of Dong Baek's mom was quite unexpected for me. The flashbacks are well done, the murder scene in the beauty studio gave me chills.
