That's some big paranoia right there.
But I'll help out. First, the research was independent and from several sources. Secondly, there's no reason for any platforms to admit that their data negatively impacts ANY age group. They could just play stupid and say "we don't control the data, we're just the platform".
And certainly they are under no obligation to create PSA's helping offset the misinformation that is rampant on social media. The fact that they did says it was so supportable a phenomenon for the specified age demographic that they couldn't overlook it.
And there is real data supporting why older generation users of social media are more susceptible to being taken in with everything from money scams to political misinformation and yes, even dangerous "social" trends. And largely this is due to the past roles of media as a way to inform.
Whereas most younger people are far more cynical about social media and form many of their ideas about things like domestic abuse and healthy romantic relationships from the TV they watch and the books they read. My degree is in media, so I've had a fair amount of exposure to some of the data.

There's some research out there that indicates it's older generations that are more affected by social media than younger generations. In fact, Line and some of the other Asian based social media outlets have actually created targeted P.S.A.'s for the middle aged and elderly who are on social media because they are the ones research has shown have more trouble separating rhetoric from truth on their platforms.
Younger people are more likely to be affected by things they idolize, like characters in a show.
Yes! Let's cheer them on! Love it or hate it, it's been a damn ride! And I've made some fun friends along the…
Well said! All three shows have different artistic visions and creators and are meant to feel different. We wouldn't want all BL's to feel or look the same. People would complain about lack of originality.
Love Dun and Bas together, however, this series has been sucking the life force away from me!!! BUT BUT BUT the…
The pacing has been off. I didn't like the drawn out long pauses. But I don't mind the almost kissing. I love Dun and Bas together. Honestly I could do with just more of their domestic sweetness. I notice here when Kit was domestically sweet no one said anything bad. But when Bas and Dun have domestic sweetness, suddenly it's a crime to some people.
But yeah, that coffee ploy to get shirtless again? Please someone deliver a ton of coffee. I want Dun shirtless a lot.
1. I don’t understand what the writers are doing with Mark and Kit. This storyline makes no sense and it’s…
Hey, I totally feel you on the Tong/Pok thing. It was very uncalled for. It wasn't Tong who decided how to handle stuff once he reported it. That was kind of on whoever was in charge. Because I'd have thought kicking people off the team would have made more sense than cancelling the sports program. And if they had sponsors, then the school's reaction was out of line. The coach should have been ordered to remove the students who participated from the team.
I didn't skip through the rest, but I get we all like different stuff.
I don't think tying someone's shoe is a sign they're helpless. It's more of a sign you're watching out for them.…
I actually felt Wayu was more assertive this episode than he's been in the past.
In terms of catching him, that was a hold over from the cliffhanger last season where the younger kids falling into Wayu and knocking him over while he was blindfolded was pretty much the last thing that happened that episode. I didn't feel it was pitiful. I felt the moment was a plot vehicle for getting both Pha and Thanu's hands on Wayu at the same time, which was very symbolic for the moment of Pha's reveal.
And yes, Wayu was very tense that episode, but considering his current boyfriend was hiding something big and his former boyfriend--who ghosted him--had just shown up, I think Wayu was entitled to feel overwhelmed by a variety of strong emotions.
I really enjoyed Junior in Gen Y and am looking forward to him in Gen Y 2.
I read a rumor someone was spreading that he left Star Hunter Entertainment. But I can't find any news about that. Can someone tell me if it's really true or not?

Without knowing if Wayu was aware his shoe was untied, it's becomes irrelevant to the context of the scene. It makes the scene about Thanu's choice to help out, rather than Wayu's lack of response to an untied shoelace he may not have even been aware of. Because Wayu's character notwithstanding, it's part of Thanu's personality to take care of people.
I am here for the Thanu/Wayu. I love their look, their dynamic, and their chemistry. I'm not even really interested in the rest of the characters.
Mark is really great as Wayu's ride-or-die bestie, but I couldn't care less about his relationship with Kit. And Kit? Meh. I only like snarky characters when they at least come with clever dialog. Kit's just a grouch.
And while I don't mind the younger side-characters Sab, Phai, Sandee, Pok, Tong and Klui, I can't say I'm very invested in their stories either.
Just when I thought Wayu couldn't get any more helpless, Thanu kneels down and ties his shoe. All I can say for…
I don't think tying someone's shoe is a sign they're helpless. It's more of a sign you're watching out for them. My husband has tied my shoe before, when I didn't know it needed done. And I think the character Thanu was doing it in that vein. The plot presents the idea of Thanu as Wayu's guardian angel.
Perth and Bas are really, really good friends. For years now. And Bas invited Perth to play in Tell the World I Love You, opposite Bas. Perth may have changed his mind about taking a BL role, now that he's under new management that isn't so toxic.
Founded him in the series 2 moons but fell in love with how cute he is in gen y
Exactly the same for me. I discovered him watching 2 Moons and loved how cute he was. But he was so sweet and classic in Gen Y. And his emotional range was on point in that too. I am currently on the edge of my seat waiting for episode 2 of Gen Y Second Season.

Poor Wayu and poor Kit. And poor Thanu who was Pha's friend too.

Which is kind of what I love about Thanu.
