I just finished this drama. My thoughts are simple. It's a Cinderella retelling, with a greedy but self-assured…
soo trueee omg demolishing monarchy took a whole wars and revolution not simply ‘freedom’ ass plot

I can’t help but compare recent K-dramas to C-dramas. There’s nothing wrong with the actors, but the scripts and directing have been so bad lately. I seriously need K-drama land to make a comeback. Watching 40+ episode C-dramas really makes recent K-dramas fall short in so many aspects — too many plot holes, rushed pacing, stories with no clear direction, and then suddenly ending with the weirdest plot twists.

On top of that, I know the whole plot wasn’t supposed to be realistic since it’s fiction, but the Prime Minister shouting at the Prince was a whole different level of nonsense. It felt like Keir Starmer yelling at Prince William to get his act together — the disrespect is insane. Politicians are elected by the people, while royal institutions are built on traditions preserved for centuries. In constitutional monarchies, the royal family’s position is almost untouchable because they symbolize the nation itself. Abolishing a monarchy is not as simple as someone demanding “freedom.” In reality, dismantling monarchies historically took revolutions, wars, or massive political upheaval — not just one dramatic speech.

I actually liked the “what if Korea had a semi-constitutional monarchy” concept, but they completely ruined the execution. Even the title “Perfect Crown” doesn’t match the storyline at all. I know it’s just fiction, but at least do some homework on how semi-constitutional monarchies actually work. As someone from a country where the royal institution and cabinet operate under a Westminster-style constitutional monarchy, I genuinely can’t overlook how inaccurate it was. The actors were great, but the plot was terrible.

There are so many real-world references they could’ve drawn inspiration from too 😒 — Jordan, Morocco, Monaco, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Malaysia etc .

ikr .. bws acted rlly good in the hospital scene to all the haters who criticized his acting ... ofc it's not…
I mean he himself is not a rookie actor . He has been acting for years and as someone who watched hundreds of dramas , I would say his acting is good . Yes not as good as nam goong min , JCW or Shin Hye Sun but still good 🥲

I was quite annoyed when Lin Yusen in ep 27 said he’s going back to the medical field but then he said “I…
I would say that it might be due to the trauma and disappointment of no longer being able to perform surgeries, so it probably relates to psychological challenges or insecurities. Perhaps his entire life and identity were built around being a surgeon who operates, not just someone who gives advice. I have the same thoughts as you because even though he can’t do surgery anymore, he can still be a doctor. However, while watching the drama, I noticed there is so much detail, and I don’t think the writer or director is unaware of this issue. So I believe those scenarios were created intentionally. It makes me think that maybe he simply can’t come to terms with the fact that he can no longer operate. It’s all psychological, you know, because at the end of the day, even if you have the highest IQ in the world, what truly controls you is your mindset and what you want to do in life.

This drama had a really strong start, but it would've been so much better if they toned down the business and start-up storyline, and focused more on the family issues. Yanyan even said she wanted to be a news anchor, so it would've made more sense to show her striving in that path—facing challenges, dealing with her rival in the industry, and growing professionally—instead of suddenly jumping into a start-up plot. It turned into a business drama out of nowhere. Also, I wish there was a proper reconciliation between Haoming and Yanyan, not just a few sweet words from Haoming. The first 15 episodes were amazing like the heartbreak and emotional tension were so well done. And can we talk about how they just made some supporting characters disappear? (Like Haoming's mom’s friends 😂) It really felt like they lost direction and rushed everything in the last episode. I would've loved to see more family bonding moments like how Yanyan reconnected with her family, how they resolved their issues, and how her parents came to realise their mistakes. And wasn’t Yanyan supposed to have a heart condition? That storyline just disappeared. Realistically, there should’ve been some recurrence of her health problems.
Ughhh I just needed more drama, more depth! 😫😫😫

No. ZLH doesn't have any scandals. The prod team of this drama did ML dirty. Simple as that. They cut ML scenes…
but for what reason though? thre must be a reason . are they rlly just ruin their own drama or what ? zhnag ling he is so popular and his fans would never let this go . why would they do that? I don’t see where this drama is hoing with only few eps left . i thought it will be rlly good but with only female lead side of story , this drama felt incomplete

I think the only reason that drives qing yu crazy is the people who shamelessly talk about her sister without feeling a lil bit of remorse or regret . If onky they feel guilty and just ATLEAST keep quiet about it or don’t even talk about the matter , I think qing yu will actually let it go and forgive ppl but nahh the whole family did her wrong and the father’s family is the biggest problem here . why would you take someone’s child and treat them bad . if they really LOVE boys that much , why dont they just take the younger brother damn i hv so much rage rn

the dad is srsly the worst . He let the wife do all the talking , let her decide things , never actually protect the family , the weak and coward . bystander is always the WORST . Even when ppl talking bad abt his daughter , he just let them be but when the daughter start talking he suddenly gets upset. The father feel more responsible toward his own parents and siblings more than his own family .
